I dont understand why a team has to lose to drop in ranking, especially at the very start of the season.
As of this point in the 2011 Football season, LSU has proven the most of any team.
They should be ranked number 1.
However, that doesn't mean they are the best team in the country, or will be later on, but as of RIGHT NOW, they should be ranked #1.

That is exactly why everyone is telling you to just chill and wait to see what they look like against a good opponent. They looked great today. There is a lot of ball to be played. Enjoy the win and have a drink
