I thought it was the basketball ones being released today which would have been quick.
Didn’t even realize y’all were under a football investigation

Now they'll have enough to pay off Kelly's next settlement from when he kills someone or has to cover up another rape case.

It was basically done and settled with the NCAA....then the NCAA merged football once the basketball stuff took off so they could tag LSU with LOIC. Pretty sure the football program was credited with being compliant with the NCAA and proactive to address the violations appropriately in LSU's NOA...Will Wade not so much

Former OL coach violations. He got fired for them last summer. Then sued LSU for wrongful termination and won. He made contact during COVID dead period and gave a recruit some merchandise.

This is for the Cregg stuff only for improper contact. This was not tied to the football/basketball stuff at all.
That's still pending.

Never assume with the NC2A that just because a player is gone, coaches are gone, no proof was ever presented and a booster acts on his own that the NC2A will cut you some slack. At least the old NC2A.

"Those conclusions are erroneous and unfounded," said Jim Neal, Young's attorney in Nashville, Tenn. "As I look more at the NCAA and its procedure, the whole process appears to be basically unfair."

The NCAA placed Alabama on five years' probation Friday, jolting the program Bear Bryant built into a power with a two-year bowl ban and heavy scholarship reductions.
The university-imposed sanctions did not include a postseason ban.
quote:
The NCAA reduced the number of football scholarships the school can award by 21 over three years. It also said the university would face tougher penalties if it did not permanently disassociate the boosters.
The violations occurred under former coaches Mike DuBose and Gene Stallings.
quote:
None of the accusations involve current coach Dennis Franchione or his staff. Franchione was out of town recruiting on the final weekend before national signing day.
Alabama officials also argued the NCAA couldn't prove that high school coaches for Memphis prospect Albert Means received money to steer the defensive lineman to Alabama, or that any money was linked to Tide booster Logan Young.
But the NCAA said a booster agreed to give Means' coach $115,000 to get Means to sign with Alabama and said three payments of $10,000 were made.
quote:
Means signed with the Tide, but has since transferred to Memphis. Young, a Memphis businessman, was one of the boosters dissociated from the university. He has denied any wrongdoing in the recruiting of Means.
"Those conclusions are erroneous and unfounded," said Jim Neal, Young's attorney in Nashville, Tenn. "As I look more at the NCAA and its procedure, the whole process appears to be basically unfair."

The Cregg stuff was the football part of that "football/basketball" stuff.
The football team is clear now.

NCAA is not the bad asses they used to be in the late 80’s and 90’s. The 90’s you knew if they were investigating your school they would hammer down and it would take years and several coaches later to recover.

What we have here is a little wave right before the great NCAA tsunami.
