He bought the gun in Mobile and the reefer was not his.

You can spin it any way you want but those are the facts

Ps there was 2 L8U players in the back seat.

“Two #LSU FB players involved in a fatal shooting in BR were released without charges, BRPD tells @SInow. Authorities investigating if actions were in self defense. Players called in shooting & cooperated

Sources confirmed they were RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire & walk-on Jared Small.

As others have reported: Shooting took place in a truck. The unidentified deceased man was fatally shot in the backseat. Two handguns were recovered from the truck, BRPD spokesman says.

Players called Police at 12:11 pm today to report the shooting.”

The Da can't admit anyone is guilty. The DA can only prosecute if there is enough evidence. A jury or judge determines guilt.

The only thing that I see, at this point, that seems off is why did he let this guy get in his back seat? If you are selling something, phone etc that is done outside the vehicle or wherever. Not in the back of your car. Unless maybe the weather was bad. I'd find it hard to believe because his dad is a cop that he wouldnt know better than to let someone behind him in his own vehicle. Really need to wait until everything comes out and hope its as cut and dry as it seems. Also the best place to meet people when selling is either a police dept or bank. Bank will have cameras and if they wont meet at a police dept you know something is up.

Craigslist violence stories aren't just anecdotal, they are pretty common across the map.

Yes, there are multiple cases of people getting murdered and there are probably hundreds of more cases of petty theft you never hear about.

If you are going to do a Craig's list transaction, do it in a public place during the day time.

Well gl to them having a gun on them I guess is okay in Louisinana. Permit ? I think probably not. Why would someone try and rob someone in the backseat of a car? How many times was the person shot and where. This sounds fishy as frick.

I agree it sure does but I'm in the "wait for the facts to come out" boat. Fools get killed all the time for robbing people. No big loss. Hate to see a football player with a possible chance of a better life throw it away. So hopefully its as he said it was.

Helaire’s dad was a police officer. I bet he did have it legitimately. Shot in the head and chest after the gun was pulled

The racist undertones of this thread are incredible.

His father is a law enforcement officer and his mother is a pretty high admin at one of the bigger hospitals in Baton Rouge.

You can bet the gun was legal, that CEH was somewhat proficient with using it and that even without football he'll do pretty well in life.

I think the NCAA should investigate how a football player had enough money for a PS4.
According to everyone here ALL football players EVERYWHERE are poor and can't afford ANYTHING.

The fact that you pulled something racist out of that just shows YOUR mindset. There are plenty of children, no matter the color, who's life would be improved by having a chance to play in the NFL. Including my own son.

ust killed someone in defense Not just student athletes but everybody in general need to be careful selling stuff to people online. If you are make sure it’s at a police station or a public place especially this time of the year.

Always always do it in a public place like Starbucks or a mall. Never let some fool get in your car.

Don't be coy. You know what you meant when you said "a better life". Nobody ever says that about a middle to upper middle class kid from the suburbs. You assumed he was in need of better life. Why is that? Because he's a football player? I doubt that's true. If Joe Burrow was the shooter would you have said what you said? Definitely not.

Anyway, you were probably well intentioned and I really should have replied to Mojo instead of you. Reading his post set me off a bit and yours right after compelled me to respond.
