They won't all be in the top 25 when u play them. Lsu fans thump their chest about 2011. Though while yes, an impressive schedule, quite a few of those teams turned out to be less than impressive than what they were "supposed" to be when lsu played them. Its where your opponent FINISHES that u can judge how tough your schedule was.
When its all said and done Bama will have played as many as anybody including 2 teams that will finish in the top 5.

Lay doesn't have an obsession with bamas titles. The obsession is, was and has been because we have Saban. That has ruined those folks. They haven't stopped talking Bama since he showed up in ttown. They'll deny it but its the real reason. They don't want to beat Bama as much as they want to beat Nick. To make him feel like he made a mistake and would be better off on their sideline and to pay for walking off that job. Also, to make themselves feel better about their program if they can beat their all time favorite coach. If u ask any Lsu fan, and they're honest to their soul about it, their greatest dream would b to have beaten Saban more than he beat Lsu when his tenure at Bama is up. If they could do that, after Saban retires, I doubt they'd ever care about beating Bama again. That game was as meaningless to them pre Saban as the Lsu game has always been to Alabama.

We have an obsession with Bama because every ounce of success they get we feel like it should be ours because Saban. Some people live and breathe it though. It’s on their mind 100% of the time. That’s my opinion. Now A&M, you’re kidding? We don’t give a shite about them. They’re obsessed with Texas if anything.

In fact, usually every game except the NC game is usually pretty boring. Bama is that good. This year the schedule appears to be much worse than usual, even the opening game has little interest since Lamar Jackson left early.
You're right Bama is just too good. But for a lot of Bama fans it's fun to see the Tide steamroll the opposition. It will be especially fun this year since the offense could be generational and the D may be more exciting with the agressive DL approach and coaching by the legendary Kuligowski.
Bama has played 32 ranked teams the last 4 years. That's an average of 8 per year. This year it looks like maybe 5 or 6.
