I hope that there is some effort spent into considering the accoustics for keeping Tiger Stadium "like playing inside a drum".
It could get even louder.
I'm quite sure this will be taken into acount

BDS now is absolutely a top tier stadium. It's huge, it's modern, and it's damn intimidating.
I'll agree that it is a top tier stadium as far as the facility itself. I, however, did not find it that intimidating. It got loud, yes, but it never sounded like everyone was screaming AT YOU like it does in TS.

I'm talking about places that are the lists of "best college football stadiums", "loudest college football stadiums" "best atmospheres" "places to go see a game before you die" ect ect.
Before, it was TS>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>BDS
Now it's just TS>>>>BDS
Come on now. Alabama is routinely listed among the top five places to see a football game.

It's on the list but almost always behind LSU if not 100%

I have a cousin who attended Texas A&M and he put it in a way I'd never thought of.
He went to one of the first SEC games that season with us a few years back (don't recall which one, maybe State) but he said walking to the stadium on a saturday night with 1000% humidity (as he put it), all the fans crowding around, then you see the stadium from under the Oak trees as you walk up to the gates...he said he felt like a prisoner being taken into a dungeon.
Inside the bowl of the stadium is NOT pretty, so I can see how that perception may have struck him lol

i've been to a ton of football stadiums across the country, and Tiger Stadium is the only one that makes you feel like you can relate to how gladiators must have felt walking into the coliseum.. there are a lot of nicer stadiums, shite most stadiums are nicer.. but most of them have a corporate, cozy, or family feel to them..

Bring your arse to BDS next year. Then you'll see that which you speak of.

I don't care about expanding. We don't need to and our stadium remains the best atmosphere in the conference. Needs a facelift and adding some additional suites and club seating will likely be first but I'm not of the belief that we have to have over 100k because other teams do. I like our stadium.

Grass is already almost impossible to grow in the stadium and it's really not surprising that blocking this is the case. I have no problems with the artificial turf. Several other traditional rich schools have done the same thing.

I also heard that PETA had finally gotten LSU to get rid of Mike.
That's exactly right. LSU is currently in negotiations for the rights to use Garfield as it's new mascot.

You're right. Nothing like that happens in Alabama. Ever.
