I’d say OM fans should be quite nervous huh? Everything they’ve done since kiffin has left has led to them having to win tomorrow….

It's 2 really good teams in the first big test of the season for both teams. I think both fanbases should be nervous. It's still possible to get to the playoffs with a loss. But, these schedules for both teams are brutal and a win will really set up the winner nicely going forward. Huge game for just football implications.

It’s amazing that people think this. We will be fine one way or the other

Whoever loses will get made fun of for a week and then life goes on.

It’s a game for entertainment. Enjoy the game and chill out. I’m just glad football is back. Win or lose

Judging by the offseason, I don't know that this is true for everyone.

60 years of history says otherwise

There is zero data to support your statement

100% agree either team can win this game and still have a full season to play but what makes you so confident OM is a consistent powerhouse program with guaranteed future success?

This reeks of preemptive rationalization to feel better in a loss after massive shite talk.

Ole Miss isn't collapsing nor is LSU. The loser gets shite on all over social media by the winning fan base no matter what.

In the end, it is just one game. It won't be a tipping point for either program win or lose. It is just a rivalry game with a years worth of off field drama adding fuel to the fire.

Just curious, why are gumps riding OM jock so much?

Is that what you took away from my post? I've actively acknowledged I prefer an LSU win and like Kiffin as a coach. I think LSU may just embarrass Ole Miss, but it is more likely a one score win (LSU cover at -2.5)

Having the opinion that the result of this game isn't going to prove pivotal in the long run success or failure for either program isn't really riding a jock.

That said, the Bama posters you see here doing so are mostly fricking with the fragile egos of many of the LSU posters with a high degree of success. And, the posters you are referring to are a small group here on the Rant.

It is like 90% of money on LSU v the spread right now. There seems to be a fairly heavy majority that think LSU wins/covers, and I think they most certainly will.

We know. We saw the injury report. It has been a full contact, no helmet week of practice to toughen the team up.

You personally? I would hope so

“We” as in the Ole Miss football program? No you won’t

LSU has a pretty good offense and an elite defense.

Ole Miss has a really good offense and an abysmal defense.

Wouldn't say that both teams are "really good".

You really don't have enough evidence to support any of those claims.

2 games each. Your defense shut down La Tech and a Clemson team that was subsequently held to 22 points by Georgia Southern, maybe pump the brakes a bit.

Exactly. We haven't seen the real LSU or Ole Miss at this point.

I'll say this. The most important game for Ole Miss is actually next week at Florida. This narrative that Ole Miss or LSU is just going to plumet is pretty stupid. Now a let down game can happen but I don't see what OP is saying.

Now, if Ole Miss loses than that Florida game is very important because if they do have an emotional let down and lose that game as well then the season would be very hard to recover from to get to the playoffs. But again, its not a burn down/collapse type outcome if Ole Miss loses tomorrow night.
