Fritz is a great freaking coach.

Insane that Arkansas didn’t take him, he could easily win 8 games there as a floor. He would have feasted at Auburn too.

Would he want that? He has Tillman funding him at UH and doesn’t have to play a sec schedule.

The QB that beat LSU last night couldn’t make it in the SEC and had to leave A&M, who currently is starting Jalen Milroe 2.0.

Whatever you want to believe for the sake of your troll. But if not, your ignorance is showing.

He suffered a season ending injury at TAMU. That season, he was 69% in competitions. The following season was a new Coach and Weigman had a persistent AC joint (shoulder) injury, playing through pain with injections, altering his mechanics.

Fritz is at Houston because that's where he wants to be. His kids are there, family...etc. It's why he took the job.

He isn’t a ladder climber, but he is a challenge hunter. He wants to do it at the highest levels. You make a good point, but I think he’d jump at the chance to do it on the highest stage.

Look at his career - he has turned around and won at as a head coach:
JUCO, D2, FCS, low G5, high G5, B12. He is one more step up from doing what almost no coach has ever done.

The SEC isn’t what it was in the 2000s and 2010s. There is a lot more balance in the conferences.

This feels a little melty. What would it matter if we wanted them to or not?

Also, I posted in the “are we rooting for SEC teams thread” that I agreed with the FL poster about all except AU and Tenn prior to last night’s game (he added UGA, but I root for UGA over non-SEC).

Wait, you think it embarrassed me personally? And followed that up with calling Bama fans weird?

The thread was about it being embarrassing to the conference, not personally to a fan of another team in the conference. It’s a little embarrassing that you thought it was a personal embarrassment.

Lastly, I rooted for the SEC to be embarrassed by Houston in the 2021 Birmingham Bowl and they were thanks to AU. It’s embarrassing to the conference regardless of which team you wanted to see win. Who you root for has nothing to do with the reputation of the conference’s strength or performance. I’m surprised you don’t understand that. Seems a little weird if you ask me

I appreciate that you care so much about this conference in general and LSU in particular. It means a lot. It really does.

You’re welcome.

Now can you and your fans please help your administration understand that it’s a bad idea to hire a coach with a 10-15+ year HC resume that includes exactly ZERO meaningful post season wins, especially while spending more money than most any other school? If Kiffin doesn’t work out, surely they won’t do it a 3rd time in a row, right?

Why are you so concerned about LSU or anyone else other than Bama. Our boosters are filthy rich. Sorry yours are poor. Go troll your fat wife in the other room.

You’re weird

Pretty sure we are going to be fine but thanks for expressing your concern.

We had an arrogant head coach that came in thinking he would win immediately simply because of the talent he would have available to him. He was that much better than all of his peers.

Problem is, all of the teams in the SEC have similar or better talent. He was lazy and did not establish a culture of accountability. This devolved into a toxic environment over the past year. Team completely quit on him in the end.

Do not like the way it ended nor how we got our new coach. But I am glad Brian Kelly is gone. Looking forward to a better season in 2026.

And yet, one school’s last 2 hires were of guys that had won big post season games and continued winning big post season games while the other school hired the following with their last 2 hires:

1) a guy with 16 years HC in FBS and had never won a meaningful post season game (he didn’t even make a 12 team playoff at LSU)

2) a guy who has been a HC at 3 different P4 programs and never won a meaningful post season game (LSU tenure still TBD)

How embarrassing for a “filthy rich” school to not be able to afford a guy with a proven track record while poor little Bama can.
