Name another time a school went against the entire conference like this?
The only thing I can think of is back in the 60s with Tulane. They wanted higher academic standards, but the rest of the conference didn't. They never tried to force the rest of the conference, they instead ended up just leaving it.
LSU said frick all you guys, we'll do what we want. Which is why the SEC should give LSU the independence it desires. You are obviously more important than the rest of the conference and the SEC is only holding you back.

WTF are you talking about? The exact same thing happened last year with the Bediako fiasco. The only difference is all the sec did there was send a strongly worded letter to the court. They didn’t blow a gasket.

The SEC members just voted a week ago that they would not take pro members 15-0.
Despite this, LSU continued on.

I guess you missed the part where just today, the sec in court told a judge that they did not create the rule but further clarified a rule that has always been in existence.

It doesn't matter, in the 93-year history of the SEC, nobody has ever defied the conference and its rules like this.
Ole Miss didn't decide to directly violate an SEC rule that was just passed to deal with the situation. If there was a 15-0 rule for that, then Ole Miss likely would have obeyed it. And if they didn't, they would be the ones at the end of the federal lawsuit.
You broke rule #1 and went against the entire conference. It's not about a court case anymore.

The SEC can kick you out and there is no court that can prevent it.
If you think you can just do whatever you want independently and ignore the wishes of the conference and it's members, forcing them to standards they did not want, then you are mistaken.
