2 of the 3 starting wideouts are returning.
Brennan has a stronger arm than Burrow
3 of 5 starters on O line are back
Starting strog safety returns along with Vincent who will be free safety, Damone Clark and Marcel Brooks back. Shelvin in the middle is back....oh, ummm ahh Stingley is back as well.
Ensminger has proven to be a good coordinator
Wildcard: if Moss comes back, LSU breaks its own records next year

ETA: As lsufball19 so kindly pointed out, this is the year that LSU matched State's greatest accomplishment. It was ultimately disappointing, but here we are.

actually, no it's not. It's the year LSU finished runner up to Florida for the national championship, beating Oregon State to get there. Which, oddly enough, is the furthest State has ever advanced in Omaha but way back in 2013

I remember now. That was LSU said that Florida was going to win the 1st game and LSU was going to win the next 2? Florida wasnt having. Oregon State is little more recent

That was when LSU's starting pitcher tore his UCL during the CWS and LSU still took Florida to the wire in both games. shite happens, still closer than State has ever been to a national title. Remember the last (and only) time State made it to the title series and lost two games 11-1? Good times
