Both football and basketball are going to get the death penalty. Extreme NCAA sanctions are incoming and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop it, Will Wade will never coach another basketball game and Ed Orgeron will be demoted back to shrimp boat coordinator. Hell, the whole university might get shut down if they find anything related to academics. Everyone laughs, but Ole Miss acted the same way. It’s over!

Emmert, Wade and Woody are reading this thread together right now, smoking cigars and having a nice little chuckle

In fairness, Ole Miss has been on the death penalty since integration.

Without LSU there will be no one to stop Saban from winning the SEC

well let's not go that far. I think Ogre should definitely keep his job as head coach!

I see what you did there, but its simply not the case.
The only major football program to ever get the death penalty was SMU. That was over 30 years ago and they still havent recovered.
Lack of institutional control? Probably. Death penalty? Not a chance.

LSU isn’t fricked but it will be a fun couple of months trolling them about their rampant cheating.
They will carry on.
They will carry on.

Not true, Auburn gets lucky once in a while, and Ga covers the SECG spreads then chokes away the W at the wire every time..
Be not afraid, LSU has slowly retrenched the OL and DL back to form, it's taken years to fix Les Miles latter era recruiting woes..
But, getting real close to full strength again.

Yeah, they won't get the death penalty, but this is way more serious than ole miss.

If LSU gets the death penalty they will sue the NCAA as the NCAA didn't give the death penalty to Baylor, Penn State or North Carolina.
It will force discovery and the NCAA will reverse its decision before allowing discovery to come forth, as it might result in the NCAA losing its non-profit status and owing the federal government enough in back taxes to wipe out the national debt.

We did. It ended up with LSU fans going nuts. So I will summarize for you.
This was turned in in 2018. SOL is "4 years". They can go back with out the clauses they have at their disposal.
As they told Miami, SOL means nothing should they decide to use the "willful Violators" clause. Had they had the ability to use the testimony and evidence from the court case, they would have used it.
Miami is a very big reason why they can NOW use the FBI evidence. They were made aware of the FBI case and new they would either be looking in from the outside and not able to do anything about what the FBI uncovered.
So direct answer to your question, the NCAA has a wavier clause called "Willful violators". Wade was a willful violator. Wade's case is not over. LSU is just being quiet.
So when you throw all of this together, it's a nasty picture

More serious than a coach providing hookers for underage recruits?

No, because your belief that PSU, Baylor, and NC and the criminal activity is not an NCAA mandate. It's not part of their job.
