Let's see. A&M lost to the two top 10 teams it played. Those teams are still top 10. LSU beat 3 top 10 teams, and only one (the one they just beat) is still top 10. Weird. How in the hell did that happen?

You can move the goal posts around to fit your exact scenario but the bottom line is when LSU benefits from other teams losing, you're ok with it, you don't consider it 'back-dooring.' However, when another team does it, it's not fair.
LSU escaped with a 21-14 win over #14 TN in the SEC title game that year to jump ahead of 5 teams, and yes, that included a one loss Kansas team.

Missouri lost the Big 12 title after beating Kansas for the north.
WVU lost to 4-7 Pitt
UGA didn’t win the east and got destroyed by Tennessee who LSU beat in the SEC title
Virginia Tech lost to LSU 48-7
Tell me why those teams needed to be in over LSU that year. LSU either accomplished things those teams didn’t, or lost straight up.

My point is LSU hasn't proved to have the level of separation from the pack that think they have at the Moment.
