Any thoughts at all on Golesh?

It was better than Durkin, who they would've hired had they won the Iron Bowl. So losing it was probably best for them.

The moral high ground, you think you have, is a mirage.
Except of course it’s history, which is quite solid.

Saban retired after post-season. That was after early signing day and transfer portal. This is rare in the sport.
We knew before, which brings us back to that moral high ground (not a place we expected to be but generally liked how it went).

We have plenty of debacles in our past, you’re just wearing this one in your present.

Highly unlikely he's firmly entrenched. Hopefully he'll etch his name in Crimson flame as past coaches have done. Of all the 5 new hires in the past 24 hrs, Kiffin will last the shortest. He will sandbag it if he doesn't get his way. How he left Oxford should tell you everything that can happen with this guy.
At least ya'll are happy....for now.

LSU doesn't need a generational coach to win like Bama does. We just need someone who puts in effort.

Bama chased the Bear Bryant ghost for a few decades so I’ll take your word for it.

You mad that Saban convinced him to come? It was his olive branch to us. What can you say, you never forget your first.

Why is a UGA fan so worked up about LSU hiring a supposedly overrated, unsuccessful coach?

Korean is posting long winded diatribes about LK/LSU all over the board. He’s obsessed with promoting his shitty, unsolicited takes.

So do you think DeBore is going to be as great as Saban?

There isn't another Saban out there unless it's a relatively unknown guy to this point. I mean, there were 18 years between Paul Bryant at Alabama and Nick Saban at LSU.

Lmao. Nick retired on Jan 10 and y’all hired Deboer 2 days later. If Nick would have retired after the iron bowl you would have waited? frick no.

this is an excellent point

do we have any evidence Saban gave Bama any clue at all he was going to retire when he did?

if so, they kept that shite super quiet because I certainly don't remember it being discussed when they played Michigan in the Rose Bowl on NYD 2024.

You knew before? He announced to team and staff on Jan 10th. If you are saying that you knew before they did, well that would be something.

By Jan 10th early signing day was well over as was the portal.

Moral high ground...still a mirage.

Yeah we did. He’d already had the conversation with the AD and about possible replacements.

Nice receipts. Tide Turf is a typical smooth brained gump.
