You know that LSU's endowment has ZERO to do with what they are paying their football coaches and players right?

They’re going to have to start raiding it soon once the children’s hospitals are bled dry

LSU is spending $93M on Kiffin $53M on Kelly $90M on assistants $175 on NIL over the next 7 years. Nearly a half billion dollars ($411M) on college football. LSU’s endowment is only $664M.

That's not only an insane investment, but history has proven time and time again that it is a bad investment. Meanwhile, young people are still mortgaging their futures to attend universities like LSU.

Why do so many of you think the endowment has anything to do with athletics?

They are not related. It is more the absurdity and fiscal irresponsibility of LSU spending this much on their football team. Over the next 7 years, you will spend the equivalent of 62% of your endowment to clean up your football disaster.

This is what happens when the majority of your fan base are sidewalk fans

I’m just pointing out Louisiana’s misplaced priorities and also pointing out the magnitude of what it will cost LSU to just replicate what Brian Kelly was already doing.

Both your football team and athletic department make significantly less money than LSU

In 2 years of football the difference between lsu football revenue and ole miss football revenue is enough to pay Brian Kelly’s buyout in full and then some

You are the poors here, ole miss is a poverty school

Nobody knows how rich LSU is because the government is tied in. They will always move some things around and find money.

Unlike other universities…the endowment has everything to do with LSU football. LSU posters in here are bragging about the new fundraising initiative boosting the LSU endowment. And 40 percent of that is earmarked for athletics. That’s fricked up. Your ignorance noted.

Lol…ugh..no it’s not. Please explain how an LSU athletic department that had lost at least $2,000,000 per year for the last five years can pay $175,000,000 just to the last three ex and current head coaches?

Ole miss’ athletic department deficit quadrupled LSUs

Poverty school

I said the difference between lsu football revenue and ole miss football revenue is equivalent to Kelly’s full buyout over a 2 year period

LSU football revenue 50 mill and ole miss is 18 mill.

Ole Miss’ deficit over the last 3 years dwarfs LSU’s … do that for decades and the math says….ole miss is a poverty school

Ole Miss is poor, everything about their athletics says they’re poor. The only things saying they aren’t poor are ole miss fans in the grove

Yet our endowment is $400 million more than LSU.

I mean Ole Miss people are not snobs, we are just better than LSU.
