You're right, rankings in early October matter more than final rankings.

That includes three games in which basically no one gave LSU a chance to beat the Gators, 2017, 2020, and 2021.

How are the final rankings relevant to who was the overwhelming favorite in that game?

No one knew what the final rankings would be at that point and everyone picked Florida.

Count me one Georgia fan that’s happy we ducked LSU last year and this.

The difference in this series (18-13-1) is the fact that UGA and LSU played 4 times in 2003, 2011, and 2019 and 4 times from 1843-1945 during the war. The Tigers somehow managed to dodge the 42 and 46 UGA National Championship teams. UGA is 7-6 against LSU the last 30 years. UGA is 13-11-1 against LSU since WW2…the last 25 contests.

LSU is a great program, but I don’t think GA has benefitted from “ducking” LSU any more than LSU benefits from “ducking” UGA

In the last 10 years LSU is 2-1 against Georgia. You call that owning?

This is why you are in the top 3 underachieving programs in the country.

The schools have played 3 times ever. Missouri beat LSu in the Liberty Bowl in the 70s and have split the two games they've played since Missouri joined the SEC. A little different than a game that's been played every year for 50 years

You selected 10 years I selected 50. MIZZOU still owns LSU.

Which absolutely makes no sense. But coming from an LSU fan....it checks out.

So, we should ignore those years like they never happened?

Honest question...what years should be considered?

My philosophy has always been all or the last one. Any other time frame is cherry picking.

A 2-1 record is owning someone?

And I don’t recall selecting anything

LSU had no choice on:
Florida
Georgia
Alabama
Auburn
Oklahoma
Texas A&M
Clemson

We are supposed to give you credit for scheduling Texas from choice?

When did I exclude anybody?
Show me a post in which I excluded any years or teams.

ETA
Are you getting me confused with Pulpwood Patterson?
So,, I'll ask you again...what years do you find relevant? I mean you thought it interesting when Pulpwood quoted a record from WWII. Which years do YOU find relevant?

LSU fans seem to think so. I mean, LSU fans keep sayign how they own Georgia and in our last 3 games the record is 2-1.

In fairness when they say they own us they only state the 2-0 part....but does a team own another team when they are 2-0 against them?

We dont get to “duck” conference opponents. Lol. That implies we dodge them on purpose. The conference schedule is set. UGA doesn’t “duck”
Anyone. That’s easy for haters to look up but it doesn’t matter to them
