I'm arguing that LSU does not have a Trent Richardson. Who's the homer here?

quit arguing with the gumps, they get pleasure out of that. Just tell them that any one of their backs is better than all of ours combined, and that they will destroy us in the Dome because they outplayed us and were the better team on 11-5 and that they will dominate us again next year en route to their 2nd NC in a row.
You know an insecure LSU fan started this thread, right? LSU has a great team rushing attack, as does Bama. Bama has by far the best individual RB between the two teams, but it seems some LSU fans aren't willing to just accept that. I'm not sure why.

Yeah they can keep Fowler. I don't think anyone with any sense would want him over hilliard.

Just wanted to clarify that not all LSU fans posting in this thread are of the opinion that Trent is anything less than one of the best backs in college football.

Yeah I agree. Maybe one day he can be up there with Hilliard or Ford. Dream big Trent.

Yeah, there are plenty of reasonable LSU fans. It just seems to have been a source of consternation among a faction of the LSU fans on here that they didn't have a dominant RB. Doesn't take away from the team rushing attack, which is ultimately what matters.

FWIW- Ford might be a top 3-5 SEC back if given the carries (but not in TR's class). Ware is not. Not enough of a look at Hilliard or Blue to make a call.

One of the most impressive stats for TR is his lack of fumbles. Does he have any on the year?

He fumbled the second play of the LSU game after his 20yd pass reception when Reid popped him, but the ball rolled out of bounds...not sure if that counts.

At the end of last year Ware was going to be unstoppable. Then Ford. Then Blue. Now Hilliard. You guys need to settle on which one of these RB's is eventually going to be so good.

All of this. You don't pick RBs in the Top 15 of the Draft, but everyone says T-Rich is the exception. None of LSU's back will have that honor.

Fowler > Hilliard?
Hilliard > Fowler?
I really don't know. Fowler's not a star, but he's looked every bit as impressive as Hilliard this year. And he's not just seen garbage time.

Lacy is better than any back LSU has. Ford is probably pretty close though.

And comparing any of them to T Rich is just stupid.
