LSU was the most improved defense in the country by end of season. A&M, UGA, OU, & Clemson looked mediocre at best against LSU.

The lone reason our offense scored a TD on LSU was because the only outside threat returned after sitting out the first half.

Georgia's offense played worse football down the stretch while LSU's defense improved, and the injuries didn't help our chances much either.

That's kinda debatable. Georgia shut down pretty much everyone they played. The best offense in the country scored 37 points on Georgia - every other offense they faced didn't surpass 17.

defense only gave up 24 to Vandy. Other two td’s were a pick 6 and a scoop and score.

Don't even bother

They're not going to get it

Whew. 2020 gonna be tough on y’all. Y’all remind me of myself on a bachelor party. That 4 days of titties and cocaine is magnificent. That’s 2019 LSU. Eventually I gotta go back to work though. That’s 2020 LSU.

Clearly they didn't have the best defense all season long, but I have no problem with the claim that they were the best the last 4 or so games.

No evidence of that in a while.

Burrow would put up 70 on y’alls defense. It’s good not great.

Burrow’s worst game in 2019 was the Spring Game, 1’s vs 1’s.

Scored 37 in 3 quarters, if game had been close LSU’s offense could have gotten to 50 no problem. Saying 37 is disingenuous when Myles Brennan was in during the 4th Q.

In the last four games of the season, it most definitely did. However, not before.

When it counted then? Even Bama who moved the ball did so in the 2nd half when LSU had a big lead.

There is no doubt LSU's Defense got stronger. better and hungrier as the season went on. Especially during the playoffs. They proved it in the NC game. They were fun to watch as long as you were not playing them.

GA had a very good defense and they whipped our butts up and down the field.

I'd say LSU was more physical, quicker and played with a never quit attitude. Even though GA may have had the better stats you cant measure physicality.

Id say LSU proved they were the best defense in the country.

LSUs D was hugely underrated. I won't argue about who is best but I'll say this : I wouldn't have traded our group for any other in the country.

From the Ole Miss game that everyone liked to point to as we faced Georgia, Oklahoma, and Clemson, LSU's defense held opposing QBs to these passing stats:

78 of 176 (44%) for 971 yards with 2 TDs and 6 INTs

Averaged over 5 games:
16 of 35 for 194 yards with .4 TDs and 1.2 INTs/game

I'll let someone else compile the rushing stats.
