LSU freshman running back JT Lindsey turned himself into university police on a felony charge of accessory after the fact. Lindsey is alleged to have allowed two men wanted for murder to stay in his dorm room earlier this year.
WAFB was the first to report the arrest.
Lindsey’s attorney Kris Perret told WAFB that the running back was unaware the two men were wanted for murder and that he had no involvement in their alleged crimes.

Vs someone who wasn’t.
Don’t go playing the “innocent until proven guilty” card while judging someone who wasn’t convicted, much less charged.

Sad day for LSU. What is it about LSU running backs. I’m certainly not proud of it but seems we have had more current and former lsu running backs arrested than any other team in history.
Still waiting to hear the sad part. If he’s guilty he should be trialed accordingly. If he’s not it’s a pretty screwed up situation. Not sure how either would be sad for LSU.

How could he not know they were wanted? They went to high school together, been living in the dorm for 2 weeks. He figured that'd be a good place for them to hide out.

One has a felony charge for housing wanted murderers.
The other was cleared, was a top five pick and averaged 21 per game last year in the NBA.
Don’t bring up Miller to deflect. They’re not the same.

In Louisiana (and most jurisdictions), to convict someone of being an accessory after the fact, the prosecution must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the person knew the individuals they helped were wanted for a serious crime.
Lindsey’s attorney is already on record saying he didn’t know the two teenagers were wanted for murder.
If the state can’t present credible evidence—texts, calls, statements, social media messages—showing he had actual knowledge, the charge could collapse.
Simply letting someone stay in your dorm isn’t a crime unless you do so to help them evade arrest.
If Lindsey can show the arrangement was unrelated to law enforcement pursuit, the act itself doesn’t meet the threshold for “harboring.”
Prosecutors would need to link his actions directly to an intent to help them avoid capture, and if he did then he is SOL.
However, He didn’t obstruct justice or hide them—he cooperated with police immediately.
So, like I said... "Charged..."
It's not like he brought a weapon used in murder, am I right?

Breaking news: attorneys lie. Witnessed it last month in person.
ETA- Just read that Lindsey's attorney lettered twice for LSU and his son is a kicker on the team.
Not a bad way to get referrals. Our House Mother's husband was an attorney. He made a lot of money from us.

They reported that guns were found in his dorm now too. Dude is likely toast. Gun free zone gonna make it very challenging for his attorney to get him completely off. The whole situation is teaming with suspicion. There’s no way he didn’t know SOMETHING about the guys staying at his place. These kids can’t get outta their own way sometimes. If you’re that stupid, I don’t really want you to be on the team I cheer for.

If he's good enough, they'll get the charges dropped.

Where are these kids getting their guns? And how much are they paying for them?

bro you can buy a hi point 9 and ammo from a pawn shop for like 200 bones the day you turn 18
everyone bringing up the bama player, i'll probably piss off both sides here but
1. if he wasn't a player on bama he would have been arrested in a cocaine heartbeat, let's not pretend otherwise
2. technically he didn't do anything illegal under the laws there, his friend asked him to bring him his gun and so he did
