No, his HS highlight reels are something else though so LSU fans were excited to see him out there. We’ll just have to wait a bit. Word around the campfire is they’re hopeful he can be back for mid October.

There's no rotation on the OL, there's a 1st team then 2nd team, and then 3rd team. He would have ended up on 2nd/3rd team at guard as a backup. So he would have only played towards end of games in blowouts or if there were some injuries.
Hines is fine, they are holding a lot of guys out with minor injuries so they dont get worse before the season starts. Hines will likely start at LG if he gets enough reps there this fall camp. Will be backed up by Magee. At RG Lewis has that spot on lock, Magee would probably be 1st off the bench for either LG or RG in case of injury, he's always been a swing guy. There's also the vet in Campbell too.

This sucks for Kardel. In the camp report on AFR Tuesday, James Moran said Lloyd Cushenberry and Sadiq Charles both brought up how Kardel was really coming on and had his best day on Tuesday. He had figured out he couldn't just push everyone around and started focusing on his technique and footwork.

LSU still has some good players left. Tulane can’t sign all of the Louisiana kids.

He wasn't in any position to start, therefore he wasn't going to play much. Sure he would have probably gotten his 4 game redshirt in, but they've said repeatedly Lewis has RG on lock and Magee/Hines were battling for LG. I think he will be a big time guard down the line, probably take over for Lewis at RG next season but the fact is through fall practice there was zero talk of him fighting for a starting spot, and again there's no "rotation" on the OL.
