Nice troll fig. Not one team in the SEC is scared of OU. None.
The same could probably be said of LSU man. I mean, you lost to a 5-5 Mizzou squad last year. You were the defending national champions, like WTF?

Can’t say I blame you, If I were OU, after getting bitchslapped the last two times we played, I would love to hate us too.
Congrats. Y’all were a historically great offense going up against a defense built by Mike Stoopid’s players. Grinch has completely changed our defensive recruiting and culture.

It’s just a really long drive. I can drive to Tuscaloosa or Auburn after work on a Friday and tailgate all day. Florida ain’t exactly a hop, a skip, and a jump, but it’s still over 2hrs closer than Mizzou.
The distance isn’t a big deal when we play just once in a while, but it’s an issue when it’s an annual game.
The other part of it is the culture of rivalry. In Louisiana, I have to interact with fans of Ole Miss, State, A&M, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, etc on a regular basis. I even run into Texas and Oklahoma fans. My SIL is a UK alum, and I know a lot of people from ATL that are Georgia fans and Nashville folks that root for the Vols. I even know a lot of Florida St, Ohio St, and Texas fans.
I never interact with Mizzou fans (or South Carolina fans) just randomly in my daily life. Our regions of the country just naturally don’t mix with one-another very often. So, there’s no real basis to build a rivalry on.
I get no bragging rights when LSU beats Mizzou, and there’s no one (outside of TD) spiking the football in my face when we lose to Mizzou. There’s just no relationship there. Absolutely nothing wrong with that for an occasional game, but having to play Mizzou every year while rarely playing gumps or Florida would be a letdown. I don’t hate Mizzou. I’m completely indifferent to them. It would be a shame to lose these other games that mean a lot to me.

OU won't win the SEC until 2040.
And it will still be before A&M wins it.

I get it. You make some very valid points. Maybe we should try to grow our alumni base there in Louisiana.

I'm in Missouri all the time and I rarely meet a Mizzou fan, itw all Chiefs, Royals, and Cardinals.

Ya know, just because the PTB are probably going to let TU-A and OU join the SEC doesn't mean that Chicken HAS to let them join TD/The Rant.
Just something to ponder.

I am not sure OU nor UT understand that the better teams in the SEC all have that 100 yard stare. Not much fear when your team has been fighting with the big boys as long as the SEC teams have been in battle.
Sure you will win a big game but the next week you're locked into another major war.

19/22 starters from that team gone and Pelini as DC.
If I was a conspiracy nut I'd swear Bo was a plant sent to sabotage the team.

The REC got Big Ed to hire Bo. (without a conversation at that)

LSU will be 8-2 against OU over the next decade.
A&M will be 8-2.
Alabama will be 9-1.
Auburn will be 7-3.
tu will be 5-5.
Arkansas will be 3-7.
Ole Miss will be 2-8.
Mississippi State will be 1-9.
Mizzou will be 0-10.
That’s 4.3 division losses on average per year. OU is in for a rude awakening.

I wish there was a way to rationalize that hire or process, but I can't.

Why is this? Can any Mizzou fans provide some insight? Mizzou has a pretty large enrollment and decent stadium capacity. People go to their games, so where are all their fans hiding? Do Mizzou fans literally only exist around Columbia like Georgia Tech fans around Atlanta? Does Mizzou not send alumni out to job markets in Atlanta, Charlotte, DFW, Houston, Memphis, Nashville, or New Orleans? Do Mizzou fans not vacation on the Gulf of Mexico in Orange Beach and Destin? Seriously, where is this elusive creature?

The last 2 times we played OU I noticed how weak y’all’s fan base smack talk was. This post confirms. That Normanshit may work against Kansas but nobody in the SEC respects that.
GTFOH. Come back when ya got something
