No one said she was forced to retire by the university. She was forced to retire by her illness.

This was your statement. It implies that Summitt was only successful pre 2000. And was ultimately left the program in bad shape so she had to leave forcibly. Nothing about this statement is correct. She was incredibly successful in the 2000s. Thats just a fact. She was still dominating the SEC when her declining health left her with no options but to retire. She was at the height of her game still. There is no doubt amongst anybody that if she had coached another 12 years to be Geno's age, she would have won at least two more natties.
In the three full decades she coached, she never won less than two national titles.
1980s: 2 titles played for 3
1990s: 4 titles played for 5
2000s: 2 titles played for 5
No reason to think in the 2010s she wouldn't have done the same thing.

You are either hearing voices or you lack basic reading comprehension. I never wrote that Summitt was only successful pre-2000, I wrote, correctly, that most of her titles came pre-2000.
As to her leaving, no one has written that she was forced out of her job by anything other than her illness.

LSU fans don't consider Nicholas part of the LSU fan base. He is universally mocked and shunned on Tiger Rant for his dumb takes. I agree his statement was trashy. Just as trashy as the Tennessee fanbase.

The program was not on the decline. She was diagnosed with alzheimers in 2011 with early onset setting in in 2010. She coached one year while being an active alzheimers patient receiving treatment. She said it was in 2010 that she first encountered trouble remembering basic things. The fact that after 2010 she won the SEC title in some capacity 3 out of 4 more times in addition to two elite 8 runs is evidence that if she had never gotten sick the sky was the limit. Its not fair to compare Geno to Pat because she had better numbers than him in almost everything at the time of her retirement.

Between MY team and YOUR team. LSU has the MOST recent football, baseball, gymnastics and women's basketball titles. Bet more recent T&F title too. If you going to dog a school make sure they NOT better than you.

Rod's LAST title came in '78. Once MORE schools began putting more time effort and money into baseball he wasn't nearly as successful.
