Did LSU know at the time that a win in the 2003 SECCG would put them in the BCS title game?

I thought it was likely but there was a ton of momentum for USC. Oklahoma looked like a potential GOAT Defense but Kansas State kicked their asses that day.
Also the perception and benefit of the doubt that is given to the SEC now was not fricking there in 2003.

If I'm a Mizzou football fan... then yes, I'm talking about someone else's SEC Championship game.

They are all special, 2003 was probably the most satisfying because of Trev Alberts

Had to wait on Notre Dame-Hawaii to be sure bc of the SOS component

Why hate on them when acknowledging your team’s accomplishments. Kind of a dick move.
After all they’ve been to Atlanta TWICE as many times as Ole Miss and Aggie combined…

So has Vandy. Twice of zero, is still zero.
But for the OP, I will say 2001, since just a few years prior, the Independence Bowl was a success.

You can list 2005 and 2022. It's okay.
Probably 2007 for me. The team was reeling after the 3OT loss to Arkansas, and with the 3OT loss to Kentucky we fans felt like we lost our chance.
Flynn was hurt and didn't play.
We win anyway, the right teams ahead of us lose, and we find out LSU is going to the BCSNC.
That was just the thing to cure Baton Rouge after the Katrina-Rita year in 2005.

That's...weird. From the pics you posted, this must be taking some kinda shot at UGA? If so, just ask the LSU fans what they think about the most recent SEC Championship game.

2001 was my freshman year. The auburn game to win the west was just as good as of a game to attend IMO. But that tenn win was a launch pad

Probably 2001. By a mile the most unexpected.

2001. An entertaining team and the return to national relevance
Pretty great after the terrible, no good, ugly decade of the 90s.

You missed a couple, suh.....I'm sure they haven't forgotten about these two.

I prefer laughing at your greatest coach ever being outscored 73-26 by a literal caveman
