Wiess Jr does a great job of finding portal talent and Kiffin will actually follow up and pursue those guys. I won't be surprised if CWJ doesn't get elevated to HC somewhere soon. Coaching our playoffs did a lot to get him noticed, but let's be honest, he definitely lives under Kiffin's shadow.

I was watching Crain and Cone w/ Dan Casey yesterday and they rated CWJ as the #4 offensive playcaller in the country, his stock is definitely on the rise so I wouldn't be surprised if he's a HC at the end of the 2026 season, unless LSU is just arse offensively.
A lot of the Kiffin/CWJ hype is really recency bias though, which worries me. Your 2024 defense was elite and they still found a way to lose three regular season games with a great quarterback. On one hand though, maybe that's just the portal era now. Some teams will gel, some won't. I don't know.

2024 was such a letdown. That was the best team we have had since the 1960s.

I've never understood the hate Ole Miss fans have for Kiffin. He decided to take a better job. He wanted to finish and coach his team in the playoffs. LSU allowed him to, but the Ole Miss AD tried to use that as leverage to make him sign an extension that he didn't want to sign. On top of that, Lane allowed the offensive staff to coach the team in the playoff. He didn't have to, and without that staff, Ole Miss would've lost to Tulane. Ole Miss fans should be grateful that he pulled them out of the gutter, and made them somewhat relevant again, but instead, you spew nothing but blind hatred, for no reason, other than your emotions running wild. It's fascinating, to say the least.
