Went to William and Mary as a receiver
Coached linebackers at William and Mary
Grad Assistant at Penn State
Offensive Assistant at New Orleans Saints

What is this guy bringing that the SEC should know about?

It’s not necessarily that he’s bringing things that others don’t do. It’s more that he’s bringing the kind of offense that really no one has done except Bama and Clemson with the kind of athletes that LSU has. Sure, all the big 12 offenses run spread style, but they don’t have the athletes that an LSU or an Alabama does

Thanks for the solid reply. Go figure, I start a thread trying to discuss something and I get basic answers from others and downvoted

Anyone that Franklin and Sean Payton praises tells me plenty about what he brings to the table our current staff does not.

He’s just a young guy who specializes in RPO and helped make the saint’s gameplans last season.

Oregon put together a track team at WR and with their RBs.
Same thing at Oklahoma with their WRs.

The difference between those teams and Alabama is depth on Defense.
You can be explosive and score fast when you can go 2 or 3 deep on defense.
When you cannot it makes your D look bad because they are being thrown back on the field

Other than CU and UA, Oregon and Oklahoma are probably the only spread offenses with offensive lines that would hold in the SEC. at least I think for Oregon, maybe not.

There are probably a few more.

Ohio State
Texas' OL held up against UGA
UCF put up points on LSU

LSU isn't magically going to turn into Clemson because of Joe Brady

Ucf’s o-line did not hold up against LSU. I don’t know what game you watched. Any time they did hold up it might have had something to do with us missing 9 defensive starters.

They put up points on you.

Just like they did Auburn.

UCF has elite athleticism at the skill position.

Finding athletes at WR is easy

Finding athletes at DT and MLB is not

I expect Brady to help us with the redzone Offense and Screens.

We have excellent Wrs that just need the opportunities.

Plus we have RB Emery this season who Brady can use like Kamara.

Ucf doesn’t have elite athletes at the skill positions. They would have maybe scored 20 on us if our defense was on the field.

And my point anyway was that their o-line didn’t hold up. It didn’t. The reason they scored points is we had WRs playing CB

You are making excuses...

WRs are a dime a dozen. Everyone has dogs there.

The difference between WR talent at the G5 level and P5 level isn't huge.

The difference is depth at other positions.

That’s just simply not true. Look up the draft stats for WRs drafted from P5 vs G5 schools

You can find numerous people that can run a 4.4 at 190 pounds.

You can't find very many that run 4.4 at 245 pounds.

The talent drop-off at WR isn't as much as you think it is.
