We were told that Chavis Defense combined with Sumlin Offense would equal SEC Championship.

How'd that work out for yall?

No doubt the 7.5 million dollar man will improve the program to a higher level than where Rumblin Bumblin Fumblin Sumlin had it, but it will most likely end there.

Occam's Razor here. The simplest explanation is usually the correct one.

Yall gonna be sorely disappointed in the end results. Don't think Bama, Auburn and LSU are going to just roll over and play dead because Jimbo Fisher is at a7m. They'll have to actually prepare now to play Aggie now, but most likely the end results will be the same. (Just like with Chavis)

That 7.5 for 10 gonna be a big pill to swallow if Jimbo can't win an SEC Championship..............

I'm on stage 5, just can't get on board with the "new plan in place".

I knew we blew our shot to get Jimbo in 2015, never had a shot in 2016. Don't think TAMU is "over paying" for him, not sure he's worth the 10 years, but the $7.5 million...so what? Their money, not mine.

Pretty sure the west got tougher, but the most fun is when the west is tough as hell. Hasn't been that way since 2011.

Reportedly LSU offered 6.8 for either 5/6 years. Whether that was in 2015 or 2016 I don’t know. Assuming college coaching inflation ... 7.5 for a natty winning coach is not that ridiculous considering you have to pay up to take someone of that caliber. It’s the last 2-4 years that is in question. If he’s averaging 9 plus wins a year ... we keep him. Plus 7 years from now - 7.5 million won’t seem that expensive.

Obviously A&M has a larger budget than about any school out there. So let’s compare apples to apples. Somebody like TCU paying Patterson $5 million plus puts more strain on their budget versus A&M paying $7.5 plus assistant money to Fisher.

I do see two rough years ahead of us... transitioning the offense and the schedule isn’t that favorable with Clemson as our OOC opponent.

A&M can afford to spend the money it takes to hire Jimbo to come in and move their program forward..

And if Jimbo doesn't meet their expectations they will fire him and move on to the next coach who they think will take them where they want to go..

Lsu does not have the forward thinking leadership to do this. Nor do they have the money to invest in the best coach available.

And they are upset that someone else can do a proper coaching search..
Pay attention and learn. One day you will need to replace that crew boat captain with a real football coach.
