LSU fans, Burrow’s dad offended many by using the horns down hand sign, did you?

How was it received? Before the big 12 came apart only OU and Aggies did the horns down symbol in the cotton bowl and DKKKR stadium. Their fans never said a thing about it but they hated it. Now everyone is doing it that visits their stadium to mock them, just curious if they just looked at you mean, or if any had words to say?

they really hated the brief s-e-c chant

I've done the horns down thing since I was a wee lass, I think it was inborn.
I literally remember doing it in the early 90's hanging out of a sunroof getting off the exit headed to the LR game (I wiki'd would be 1991) and an old man telling me not to do that thinking, then his wife saying don't mind him, I told him you were doing it down, go hogs.

I admit to being curious as to WHY this is "offensive"?
I mean, it's not like he walked past some special needs kids wearing Texas gear, making a jerk off motion and then flipping them the bird.
I remember when Alabama beat Florida in 2009, and people were making a big deal because the players did the "wrap up the gator chomp" on the sidelines. Like, why is that "offensive"?
