Reading the posts on this board ever since last Monday, I have come to this conclusion: LSU fans are easily the most reasonable here.

We have no illusion that a repeat in 2020 is a guarantee. We know this team and Coach O even with everyone leaving to take advantage of their due opportunities are capable of replicating the success of 2019 but we are very patient and know there is a very good chance that in 2021 we will repeat (though it may not be as GOAT of a team as this one was). We love our team and we never place too high of expectations on them like other fanbases do to their teams (Bama, Georgia, Clemson, etc).

I have to say that even though our team (and some hangers-on -- mainly that milf chick, OBJ and the rest of you bandwagoners) may have over-celebrated, I believe our fans when compared to other NC winners (especially Bama fans from recent NC wins) have remained sane and very reasonable. I'm very proud to be part of it.

ETA: This post will be downvoted a LOT without good reason by fans who over-identify with their team.

I may start saying a daily prayer of thanks that I am not a Georgia fan.

2021 should be good for y’all. As far as Bama fans having high expectations, it’s what we’ve been used to. Winning 5 out of ten titles and playing for it 7 times will do that. Though some fans just go too far I think.

You guys have a solid program and Ed has should get can build and hire rally good people. You guys will do just fine and I look forward to our games.

When one just focuses on doing good work and not sweating the results, good results happen.

I’m curious to know what this means.
I hold multiple degrees from Texas A&M University.
What would “over-identitying” with my team look like?

You’re a good poster. Some people just take things too seriously.

Yeah, just poking at Bama fans really (the rest are really insane with their expectations). You always expect what you've gotten from the past. Bama's always had a great program since the beginning of college football time.

A big indicator IMHO is when a fan keeps mentioning "we" in terms of actual football-ing as in ... "we got sacked and it is was 2nd and 26 and then we hit Devonta Smith in stride for the win" or some shite like that.

Oh I saw what you were doing. You’ll trigger some Bama fans though

Thank you and I’ve been very impressed with the Shrimp Boat Captain. Y’all got a good one

I think we'll do pretty well but if we were to be in a position to repeat in 2020, I'll be pleasantly surprised.
