Taste of Tokyo in River Ridge is solid, but ironically its the service from the owner that makes it better
The owner and his I think son (he is asian too so I have always assumed they are related) are very personable and come around to every table and help out
THe actual servers are mainly white kids who are Curtis students, so if you are from louisiana you would understand their service can be hit or miss

Etiquette books say to tip on the pre-tax amount. So the tab is $112. It may have been take out, but let’s assume he sat down and Tyler served him Japanese food.
A 15% tip for bad service is $16.80, he left $5. So the media and internet is going crazy over the $11.80 he shorted this guy.
After getting the wrath of the American internet he’ll surely never do it again. It’s a lesson learned for both. I’m sure he’ll find a way to get $20 to Tyler. I think we can go back to our lives now and stop assuming he’s short tips everyone for the rest of his life.

Well, terrible in the sense that it sets a bad precedent that you'll get 15% for shitty service, so why give good service?

Ha. The last time I ate Oriental in Jackson Mississippi, our cook identified himself as Tyrone and stated his nationality was blackanese.
