That's for Texas A&M-Texarkana. To get a real Aggie ring you have to have 95 hours at Texas A&M or meet other requirements. They are ordered through the Association of Former Students.
Laugh about them all you want but an Aggie ring opens doors for you in business, especially in certain industries like O&G. I'll never forget the first time I was with a sip work associate of mine and we were at a client meeting and the guy across the table noticed my ring and the tenor of the meeting changed and we talked about A&M for 10 minutes. We ended up going from one of many vendors to winning the deal right there. Afterward my sip co-worker was just shocked as he didn't realize the power of the Aggie Network.

The only thing it means is sips like yourselves are completely obsessed with Texas A&M. As has been stated repeatedly about 90% of folks that can get into A&M can get into Texas. Very few people go to A&M because they couldn't get into Texas, the requirements are very close.
It's really a strange obsession you have over it as the overwhelming majority of Texas grads understand Texas A&M is a very high quality and similar level of education, it's usually folks who couldn't get into either that resort to this kind of smack talk. Lots of Texas State grads who wear longhorn gear and talk about how superior "our" school is. Keep laughing at your own joke I guess but you are only making yourself look like a fool over and over.

Here are the facts:
In the early 80s, LSU played 6 SEC games, and a home-and-away series with rival Tulane.
LSU and A&M entered a 10 year contract to play from 1986-1995. 10 games in 10 years, 5 home, 5 away.
After seeing the popularity of the game by 1987, a two-year extension was signed with A&M at the same time LSU started playing 7 SEC games per season.
By 1990, LSU was under contract to play 9 home-and-away series out of 11 total games every season.
In 1992, the SEC expanded to 12 teams, and started playing 8-game schedules. The effect was that LSU added another home-and-away series with Arkansas.
The LSU AD realized this was economically untenable, and approached A&M about finishing out the original 10-game contract, but cancelling the two-year extension. A&M pointed out that, by the terms of the contract, LSU would have to provide a suitable replacement, or be required to pay a buyout.
LSU agreed and offered up USL as the replacement, to which A&M agreed, scheduling the Ragin Cajuns to a two game home-and-away series for the 1996 and 1997 seasons.
LSU went on the finish out the original 10 game contract, with the last and tenth game being played at A&M in 1995.
In 1996, A&M went on the road to play USL. They would lose that game, 22-29.
Suddenly the aggies felt like USL was not a suitable replacement. So they approached LSU for the buyout.
LSU pointed out that they had satisfied the terms by proving USL, and further pointed out that there was no guarantee in the contract that A&M would actually win the two games, that was on them.
A&M, not being satisfied, demanded payment.
LSU, being somewhat entertained, provided the lulz.
This, right here, is the entire reason for the A&M bitch fit over their previous contract with LSU:

Your school song is not only about A&M, it is a cheap copy of A&M. "Texas Fight"is a response to "Farmer's Fight" and the line "Goodbye to A&M" is a response to "Goodbye to Texas University".
For someone who loves acting so superior maybe you should learn the lyrics and history of your own school.
I'm not upset about your A&M obsession, it's just weird. You really should consider counseling.
