We flew too close to the sun in 2019. Man was never meant to enjoy such greatness. Let it burn.

Gaye has honestly been one of the few guys I still have seen busting arse all game despite how poor the team has been. The number of tackles he's been making 15+ yards past the LOS as an edge rusher has given me hope the entire team hasn't mailed it in. Hate to see one of the few like him out for the year now

Can’t figure out if this is all just bad luck or are guys all opting to go ahead and get the surgery/rehab process started with the season in flames? Or are coaches pushing guys to go ahead and get fixed up, either because it’s the right thing to do or in hopes that they can blame injuries for the next 6 games?

depends on the player. Brennan had a non football freak injury that is legitimate. Anyone who watched the Kentucky game knows Boutte's injury was bad and really really shite luck. Andre Anthony is a 6th year senior. Someone like that probably isn't checking out because he doesn't want to play. Same with Todd Harris. Those guys actually need to play to hope to get drafted. Same with Major Burns. Why transfer to quit? Stingley is the only one that even appeared shady, but if it's a lisfranc injury like reported, he can't and shouldn't just play through that. We really don't have that many players hurt, they just happen to be the players we can least afford to lose. Also doesn't help that Emery and LSU dropped the ball with his academic eligibility.

I’m old and don’t know how to post pics or do the Fark stuff, but we really need to get a pic or video of a guy and make the whole LSU defense fall down at once holding their leg.

Freaking craziness the “injuries” going on around here.

His mother came out today and said he tore his labrum in high school, didn't tell anybody about it for a long time because he wanted to play. And he's been playing with a brace on his shoulder his entire time at LSU. I'm not sure what to make of it right now TBH given we just found out about him within the past few hours. Generally speaking, though, a player isn't going to go the route of surgery just because they don't want to play.

Do I need to remind LSU fans how many players you had sitting out last year for the Florida game?

All true, but had to fix the last one.

I don’t think that was my implication. Rather, they could be opting into surgeries mid season that could otherwise be delayed (such as torn labrums) to get ahead of schedule and be back healthy for spring practice or whatever is next for them in life

Oh I don't doubt if we were not so terrible more players may try to play through some of these injuries, but it is what it is. Can't say I blame them when it's so obvious everyone has checked out of the season at this point and they know their coach is likely going to get the axe soon enough
