The women include three former LSU tennis players, two former football recruiting office student workers, a former student and a current student.

Former student Calise Richardson, who shared her account with USA TODAY in December, said she and other students in the football recruiting office were encouraged to do anything to lure top football recruits on visits to LSU, including having sex with them. Players, coaches and other men affiliated with LSU solicited her for sex on multiple occasions, she said.
One recruit raped Richardson in 2015 during an official visit, the lawsuit said. Guice attempted to rape her in fall 2016, she said, and then spread rumors around the football program that she would have sex with anyone, which led to additional sexual advances from others.
yikes

Who is the current student in the lawsuit? Because could fall under the current regime’s tenure at LSU and might get ugly.
The tennis coaches should’ve been canned last year when this news broke and Ausberry/Segar and probably a few others in the Administration should’ve been terminated immediately after Husch/Blackwell report was released. What’s the holdup in cutting these employees?

I believe it'd be this girl:
quote:
Elisabeth Andries detailed her assault by a fraternity member to USA TODAY in November. Although the fraternity member was ultimately found responsible for sexually assaulting her and a second student on the same night, the Title IX process dragged on nearly six months, during which LSU rejected the women’s requests for protections, rarely gave them updates and failed to interview key witnesses.

It's disgraceful. Radio host today called it stair stepping the punishment. They're just gonna keep adding on a little more punishment here and there until they think the response is satisfactory. IMO the action should be swift so they can start to repair the damage ASAP. To me, it seems like this incremental punishment model is just creating more damage by keeping it in the news. Just get it done already.

It's interesting that Sharon Lewis is currently suing LSU and also being sued by these girls.

There are gonna end up be all kinds of suits and countersuits involved. That's gonna turn into a bunch of he said/she said crap.

I'd imagine the rationale is that they don't want to outright fire people because then they'll get sued again by those people for wrongful termination, and they will probably make a "just following orders" claim justifying their actions and throw the higher ups under the bus.

I’m going to ask this again, why the frick are colleges conducting criminal Investigations and why aren’t these girls going to the damn police?!?! I want these people that sexually assaulted and raped these women in pound-you-in-the-arse prison.

So what fate shall LSU receive from the NCAA's wheel of punishment

Can thank Obama for that one.

This board struggles to understand it but none of this is really an NCAA issue.

Sounds just like Baylor who wasn't punished by NCAA. They did have the decency to address the raping unlike LSU though.

Because Obama, in his infinite wisdom, thought schools were better equipped to investigate matters like this instead of law enforcement

Sure, about 10 years into the allegations. Baylor did eventually fire their AD and football coach after the story broke in the media. LSU’s weren’t around anymore to fire

Trying to compare LSU to what was going on at Baylor is laughable.
