Tbh..: if that happens, LSU may become the new Bama. LSU has the best homegrown talent in the country and LSU would capitalize on that.

"I reconciled with my ex while coaching here no way can I take another job" is the funniest alternate reality I've read yet.

You don't understand how they hired a guy who was one of the highest winning coaches in College football?

That was a pretty good selling point. Problem was, and he knew it, that wasn't SEC wins. He thought and we did too, that he was better than he actually was.

The state of Florida produces more elite football players than any state in the nation, but the truth is that state lines don’t mean anything anymore. Not in Louisiana, Florida , or any other state.

Brand still counts a little but $$& counts most

Boca Raton did not bring her back. Oxford did
Here is an interesting fact. Layla spent her childhood in Gainesville, Florida, where she went to Bucholz High School, and after matriculation enrolled at the University of Florida.

I'm sure they would be ok in her home state, in her hometown, at her alma mater, etc.

Knox can even play for BHS. The Bobcats have a really good program.
His mother graduated from there too.

No.

They will fund his golf game for the next 3 years, and like it.

She may be better with apparent lifetime security, millons of dollars guaranteed every year and an established home and community as opposed to chasing fame with a real risk of getting fired in 3 years and becoming a journeyman once again. Maybe she wants stability and security like a lot of women. I don't know. You made the point, not me.

Weirdly coaches "uproot" their lives all the time. I'm thinking it's easier when someone backs up a brinks truck to your front door.

Actually some journeyman coaches eventually settle down for a long time and stop uprooting because that's what the wife wants. I can think of one very famous example.

You mean coaches who never had a chance to get the Brinks truck? Yeah, not surprising.

His current salary of $9 million is not brinks truck. That’s just a brinks mid sized SUV with optional heated leather seats. Everyone knows the brinks trucks starts at $13.1 million no credit checks no money down you are approved today

That's right.

And you realize there's no such thing as loyalty.

Per capita… it’s Louisiana, Georgia, Bama and Mississippi and it’s not even close. Texas and Florida and California are tops overall by shear amount of players, because those three states combine for probably 70 million people. but Louisiana, Mississippi whos states combine for maybe 6 million are tops per capita. They have significantly less people and produce massive talent.

Top states for per capita NFL players
Georgia: Ranks first in the nation with one NFL player for every 71,413 residents.
Louisiana: Ranks second, with one NFL player for every 72,777 residents.
Alabama: Ranks third, with one NFL player for every 83,738 residents.

Mississippi is 4th with one NFL football player every 74,567 residence.

In comparison, Texas, Florida and California produce one NFL roster or draft pick every 467,531 residence for those states.

Why this is the case
Total players vs. per capita: Texas and Florida have the highest total number of high school football players who make it to the NFL, but Georgia's smaller population gives it the highest density of NFL players per person.

Data source: This ranking is based on the number of players on NFL opening-day rosters, which is a strong indicator of high school football success.
