LSU clearly doesn't have the money to buyout McMahon

It's pretty obvious now. They're probably going to beg him to take less like they did with Kelly. He might, but as of right now, LSU doesn't have to the funds to dump him immediately. Any other school with proper funding would have fired their coach after the last game of the regular season with the record that McMahon currently has over 4 seasons.

Maybe if people like you keep saying "LSU doesn't have the money to do XYZ", you'll eventually be right.

McMahon will be fired the day after NC State's last game is played of the season. There is literally no reason to fire him today, tomorrow, or this week for that matter.

I don't know about that, but we obviously are going to let him finish the season. OP is a dolt.

Like I said, Contra is a dolt.

Ultimately, though, the decision likely comes down to how much LSU values its basketball program and how willing it is to invest in it right now. Making a coaching change would require significant money, and that money has to come from somewhere. The question LSU’s leadership has to answer is whether that investment is worth it and how it might affect other programs.

If McMahon were to be fired, I wouldn't have expected it before the SECT unless there is someone on the staff LSU is considering for the HC position and they wanted to give jon a test drive before launching a search.

LSU brings in almost a billion a year in tuition/fees and property tax revenue
It's clear they're willing to commit a very large percentage that money towards subsidizing athletics. They have absolutely no credibility/integrity as an institution of higher learning at this point

I very much thought they did not have the money to fire Chip and hire Lane.
I was very wrong. They will find it if they care no worries.

They will need some big money to buyout the contract. We will see if anyone cares enough to force a change. One of the donors for basketball has already put his support behind the current coach.
