Not only that but AU also got the Sugar Bowl invite.

I was actually defending LSU when I posted that.
Oh well, silly me.
FTR, my now ex-wife and I were living in Alexandria, LA in 1988. We were at the “Earthquake Game” (thanks for nothing Shan Morris). I caught so much crap from my LSU buddies after that game, so it was great when we got the Sugar Bowl invite over them as I had been telling them all season. It was a no brainer that they would take an out of state school over an in-state school for tourist dollars.
