I've not once denied Chavis is a great DC. The opposite actually. Even on your own board. But he is not the only reason for some of those wins. That's an asinine comment. LSU has had phenomenal players and recruited well for a long time now.

Your assertion that he's the only reason for some of those wins is just plain idiotic. And you proved my point in your post. Lesser players=less results.

Now a combo of good players and a great DC= winning close games. I'll concede that LSU has won a number of close games because of that combo. But as someone who has watched every LSU game for, idk, 15 years or so, I also watched Chavis' 3rd down defense suck shite through a straw in big moments. We've witnessed completely different defensive packages at the end of games. The man has some blunders on his resume' to go along with those great moments. You're hyping him as LSUs savior when you likely haven't paid attention to anything LSU pre 2012. And you're hyping him as aTm's savior when he hasn't even coached a game. Seriously, you're reaching and coming across as desperate. Just let it play out and we will see who fields a better team by the end of the season.

If Chavis is what you claim he is, then it shouldn't matter who aTm has on defense. They're SEC caliber players aren't they? And yall ain't vandy. Don't make preseason excuses to lessen the blow.

Every LSU fan in the planet blames the offense every year. You're reaching again. Just because you keep repeating it, doesn't make it true.

LSU's offensive deficiencies held them back every bit as much as our defensive woes did us. Their QB play was worse than abysmal, as was our defense. Yet somehow it's just a given their offense will step it up despite Les and Cam both returning, while A&M's defense won't improve nearly enough for us to mount more than 8 wins.

Exactly. I'd trust Chavis to improve a defense far more than I would trust Les and Brandon Harris to turn around and offense. Most of the world would too. That being said I'm not that high on either team, but I fully expect A&M to finish higher than LSU and it baffles me swamp kittens can't fathom it.

A&M's two best players on defense last season were true freshman. Talent and experience matters. You're usually above framing arguments through generalities instead of actual context. Our defensive line has talent (a ton), depth(a ton) and finally a decent amount of experience. Our safeties are also leaning that way, with talent and depth finally playing a role with and experience still lacking. Linebackers will finally be healthy but defenitely the weakness of our defense, as talent, depth and experience don't really improve. Still improved overall as a defense. Talent, depth and experience are all vastly improving for A&M relative to last season. From this standpoint alone A&M's defense will be better. It's not a fool's errand to think Chavis could enhance our defense on top of this.

LSU played 17 freshman last year. Like you said, it's asinine to think all those freshman won't get better.

Uh huh.

That light you see at the end of a tunnel isn't a train coming. It's Leonard Fournette.

And A&M has fully expected to beat LSU at some point in the last four years but that hasn't happened either. We have reason, logic, and history to buttress our belief in beating A&M because that's what we do. Why would you fully expect to finish higher ranked than LSU? Do you expect to be higher ranked than Bama too? You've actually beaten them once.

Stage Three - Bargaining (March - Current Date)
Between Steele, Orgeron and the the superior defensive talent we have coming in, we will be better off now than we were with Chavis. Chavis was a joke...#3rdandChavis #ChavisEffect

Silly faggies think that Chavis is going to bring them a great defense. They don't have the talent...they have no CB's and Chavis runs stupid man one coverage and will get burned consistently. Steel and Orgeron will have our boys ready to play and we will show everyone that defensive personnel made Chavis, Chavis didn't make our defense.

Add to it:

"Did you see that 10 second of aggy in the gauntlet drill? Aggy defense is full of pussies"

"Chavis is having buyers remorse right now, I guarantee!!"

"LF going to roll them. Aggiegieggi doesn't stand a chance! LOL"

Making fun of the players at the school you lost your DC to is yet another sign of bargaining. One of the signs that the bargaining stage has about run its' course.
