Haha, worshipping the home crowd on a subject that is largely irrelevant to most people? Come on. It's a ploy for upvotes because everyone knows that there are about 50 silent LSU fans on this board who scour posts to reward LSU praise and discourage negativity.

LSU baseball is the class of a college sport that is enjoyable, if not that popular or important. Kudos to them.

They rock badass baseball mullett swag.

Fun watching them. I like their middle infield. 2 great athletic players there. I'm used to having tweener high school looking dudes on our team.

I know some aggies and they are some of the best people I know. What little I saw from texags was an embarrassment to aggies and sports fans in general. I felt sorry for my aggie friends.

This series was a few umpire calls away from Texas A&M sweeping the series. If series played at A&M, I like A&M 2-1.

let's be honest. A&m stinks on defense. It wasn't the umps that gave up 2 series in a row

well we're only one baseball title away from being the only sec team with national titles in all 3.....and beyond that our gymnastic team just completed a 3-peat and our softball team is looking poise to complete a back2back. #allsportschool

Nobody can argue with Bama, UK, and LSU as the best in those three sports historically. Yes UF has a great overall program in sports. Cocks are very good in baseball. TAM has competitive teams from time to time in various sports, but to say those aforementioned teams are not the best at those sports from an all time perspective is lunacy. I'll go one step further and say of those three, UK is the most dominant in their respective sport.

Impressive gatorsown....
Similarly, LSU is only 1 basketball title away from the same thing. (unless you count the 1935 championship that was unofficial but the only one named that year.)

However, we have won numerous track and field national titles in addition to our 3 football and 6 baseball titles.

We are also NC contenders in gymnastics, softball, and golf. And we won a lacrosse title in some classification a few weeks ago.

LSU is far and away the best college baseball program right now. I don't even know who I would throw in at 2nd, but it's a distant 2nd.

Maineri has had some pretty huge micromanaging frickups in the post season, but there's no denying that he produces the most consistent product in the country right now (especially with Ray Tanner gone)

Agreed.
Makes me sick how well they have managed it while we fall further and further behind.

What's interesting is that this could turn out being a nice long-term investment for LSU. Slowly but surely more and more high schoolers are understanding the value of getting an education for three years and benefiting from the right coaching.

5 years ago I'd say no chance in hell LSU could get Lange, Latz, Deichman, etc on campus, but it's trending that way. Plus someone like Bregman would weather through his hand injury in hs and still go pro.

Another key aspect of college baseball growing is the progression of the Big 10. these are huge markets that have stigmatized the popularity of baseball for an indoor sport like hockey. Ohio State and Michigan getting good would do wonders
