LSU/Bama Rivalry? I am still wait for an honest answer to Alabama's top three most despised football opponents. Bama fans in denial? Notre Dame doesn't count, sorry.

You asked for my top 3 teams. ND counts... I would trade 10 losses to LSU for a chance to drag those pansies around a football field.

Why don't they count? Do you make the criteria for rivalries now?

Because Notre Dame has been almost every team's "removed" rival, even LSU's in the 60/70's. And the fact that they don't play on a regular basis has something to do with it.

Just like we stood no chance in "LSU's second home"?

I never said that...the rematch bothered me a lot...

But I am one of the few LSU fans that predicted that LSU would beat the Tide 3 straight years(seasons)... (look it up on the SEC rant if you wish)

Why would I back off that prediction now?

I'm not a fan of either team, but I thought I would chime in. I see this game like Tennessee/Florida in the 90's. It's the most important divisional game in the conference and obviously it's a game teams need to win to win the conference. That said, it's not a historical rival. I really want Tennessee to beat Florida because UT is on a 7 game losing streak. After that, I don't see the Florida game as a real rivalry. If it's a game Tennessee needs to win to win the East, it's obviously going to be important. But it's not a game that automatically holds significance for me like the Alabama game.

Good grief you are reaching. For the record LSU wouldn't be in my top 5 either

You should've said this then: "I really want Alabama people to say LSU to validate my own opinion." That would've saved everyone in this thread time.

If Alabama fans on this web-site want to act like beating LSU is no big deal...that's their prerogative...

Their radio callers suggest otherwise

Using people that call into Fbomb's show is a poor sample group.

That's an argument killer. 1st you are taking the most vocal fringe part of the fan base and using them for your basis of comparison. 2nd being a big win and a rival are two totally different things

How dare a fanbase want their team to beat another team that is highly ranked and in the same division of their conference Shame, shame on them

Maybe Alabama and UT feel differently but to the rest of the country comparing the Iron Bowl to a game between Tennessee and Bama is laughable.

About 10 years ago, the country would have told you that Tennessee/Florida was a bigger rivalry than Tennessee/Bama. They would have been wrong.

I haven't said that. It's a big deal because it helps us get to where we want to be. It's NOT a big deal because you are LSU.

So, again, my list:

1. Auburn
2. Tennessee
3. Phil Fulmer - I'm not even fricking joking around. I'd love for him to suit up for a few one on one drills with a Bama player of my choosing.
4. Texas - I still remember Bear's loss in the 82 Cotton Bowl and the 09 title game didn't do anything to improve my feelings.
5. Florida - Unlike vs LSU, we have a tradition with Florida that started in the first SECCG.

After #5, does it really matter? I'll hate your team for one week this fall. Perhaps 2 if you win.

I really don't care...alabama fans are annoying the most to me

I want LSU to win the SEC each and every year...

Because Nick Saban is at Alabama, that put an extra thorn in the game...

Go hate on Auburn and Tennessee...fine be me and LSU fans...

I am sick of Alabama fans the most...so I'll go on that

I doubt the majority of bama fans share this sentiment.

I've heard sports announcers say that LSU/Bama is and will be a very important rivialry in the future. It's like the Ohio/Mich, Texas/Okla/Neb games of old. Our matchup will have an important impact on who plays in the NC game.

Seeing us win 2 BCS titles since your last, getting a ball-gag shoved in your mouth in your "Dome away from Home" and embarrassed in front of the entire country will do that to you. I understand.
