OSU didn't get the same recognition as Alabama
because:
1. don't have nick Saban
2. don't have winnig tradition
3. Don't play in the SEC
3a. Don't have a recent Championship in Big 12 or National Championship
4. ESPN said Alabama is better than OSU
5. etc etc...

We also didn't lose to Iowa State. After 2007 I wouldn't think Lsu fans would ever complain about the system

Well, you look at the history of the two teams, what it's meant to both fan bases for 120 years, what big plays came from the games, and the demographic relationship between the two states. It's not terribly complicated.

The biggest problem with an LSU/Alabama Rivalry is that Alabama doesn't view it as one. That makes it not a rivalry. Kinda like one person saying he is "officially" dating someone, but that other person saying that they are not "official". No matter how much one wants to be dating the other, it's not actually an "official" relationship.

I've seen several posters, mainly bammers, claim it is not a rivalry. I would like to hear their explanation.

Their explanation is simple: UT and AU are their only 2 rivals. They don't need or want a third. Many Bama fans have admitted in this thread that Auburn and TN are their rivals.
