Ole Miss could absolutely beat any team in the playoffs at their best. I would say my belief is they could NOT win 4 in a row against such competition.

I think the nothing wrong angle is completely right as far as LSU goes. IF the reports are true about strong arming coaches and players to leave pre-playoffs, then LK is being a psycho for not getting what he wants from an employer he is leaving y his own choice.

The college football calendar is what's causing this.

In part, yes.

But this:

So a coach that has his team in the playoff can never change jobs?

is BS. Because it's not true. He could have left and taken the job. But that's not what he did or doing. He's striping down by holding their future over their heads.

Ole Miss has played maybe two teams that are currently ranked by the CFP poll. They’re not as good as you think.

How’d they do on the road against OU?

I do think Kiffin is being childish in thinking that he should be allowed to coach Ole Miss in the playoffs after taking the LSU job

Agreed. It’s absurd to think Ole Miss should allow this.

Sadly, Ole Miss often finds it difficult to move beyond their “old south” mentality.

We don’t want LSU’s coach coaching our football team….that’s an “old south” mentality? Just how simple are you?

Plus Kiffin wanted to coach Ole Miss through the playoff instead of leaving them coachless and LSU said "OK we'll wait".

Ole Miss probably watched that 2016 Peach Bowl when Saban allowed Kiffin to remain the OC after being hired away to be the head coach of Florida Atlantic. His heart was clearly not in it. Instead of preparing for Washington he was on the phone with recruits and potential staff members.

YES

IF the reports are true about strong arming coaches and players to leave pre-playoffs,

I’m not arguing with you

But there’s no way Kiffin threatened to dismantle the team before the playoffs

Ole Miss is the bad guy in this situation

Simple enough to have watched you folks shoot yourselves in the foot for almost 65 years.

All the way back to waving confederate battle flags, all the while trying to recruit young black athletes to your school.

If that’s not the definition of ignorance I don’t know what is.

That's Kiffin's fault. What does the program have to do with that?

Kiffin took their program as far as it could go. Ole Miss is not a national championship school, thats all there is to it.

He will be able to recruit 5* studs at LSU and develop them, instead of relying on finding a few highly productive but not quite elite players in the portal.

The real issue is that Kiffin is burning it down on his way out the door.

He literally told the offensive staff if they did not go with him now, they would not have a job at LSU.

He could have retained those coaches without killing Ole Miss's chances in the CFP. He's just a childish bitter bitch amd held the staff's jobs over their heads.

He wants to win at LSU. I would want my future coach to do the same. He needs to know who is with him or if he needs to start the interview process.
