I have been a season ticket holder at LSU since 1978 and have never left a game due to heat. I had to leave early in the third quarter yesterday, because the heat was getting to me. The heat was brutal my friend; that is a fact.

I've been to plenty of Texas games during the day. It sucks arse and people leave. Plus, the humidity is nothing close to Baton Rouge.

I guess the air conditioning we have in Georgia makes all the difference.

Ignorant people should just be quiet. That includes you, in case you don't understand.

Maybe wear something other than a Cecil Collins jersey to the game to cover your skin?

My great great great great great great grandfather came over with the Pilgrims. He said Plymouth Rock was hotter than a twopetered goat when they got off the Santa Maria. Stayed hot for three weeks and then it snowed.

I'm thinking that "I don't drink that Bud Light shite" and "it was too hot for football yesterday" are often the same person.

One of two things will have to occur before we see NO daytime games far below the Mason-Dixon line....1. several fan heat related fan deaths in a single season or 2. Athletic Admins and TV execs required to sit in the sun for their early season games ! WHY all the southern teams do not band together to say NO...is really the result of TV $ and their own administrations basically saying...we don't give a shite about you 'fans' !

Also the antebellum great grandparents weren’t dealing with climate change and a demonstrably and factual increase in heat and weather in the late summer like we’ve had the last 20 years.

Just anecdotally, summers when I was a kid in Texas were hot and occasionally unbearable, but every day is like Mad Max the last few years.

Well reasoned post.

I remember in my youth when September Saturdays were a manageable 92 degrees.

Now that they are more like 94, I really don’t know how anyone can survive.

I despair.

92 degrees 53 percent humidity that's so cute that you think that's hot.
