Look, I don’t think he’s going to need to get involved, but claiming the Speaker of the House couldn’t help LSU if this issue escalated is just ignorant.

I'm not exactly sure what he would do, though.

Ask someone in a committee to ... hold a hearing?

Ask another member to draft legislation, what, prohibiting college sports conferences to not enforce rules?

While being a popular public official, and someone I would vote for if I lived in La, the SEC does not have to answer to the SOH. I’m sure MJ would be granted a meeting with SEC officials if requested, but you’re insinuating he can dictate conference decisions.
He can’t.

He's a lame-duck speaker. Has virtually no chance to keep his job.

There are 130 representatives from SEC states not including Louisiana, he would lose all that support, these states take this seriously, he wouldn't be speaker for long

What funds are going to be diverted away from the SEC?

Ok, you can have your opinions on this whole mess, and that’s fine. But you should at least attempt not to say completely retarded shite like this. Ffs, he’s the Speaker of the House. He’s 3rd in line for the presidency. I mean hell, you couldn’t have possibly said anything more stupid.

It's funny that you all pretend I don't know he's the speaker. Hell the most amazing thing about him is he somehow turned out to be even worse than Kevin McCarthy.

He's a fricking puppet who serves the MIC, big government and Israel.

Tell me what power he has here.

Correct the SEC doesn’t receive congressional funding. Every state that has a school in the SEC however does. Johnson’s influence here wouldn’t be with Sankey or the conference. It would be with Congress and the RNC. Two orgs which he has significant influence over and two orgs that have significant influence over all members of the SEC excluding Vandy though there’s still something there.

Yes the man who is second in succession behind the Vice president to be President of The United States is a not important “puppet”.

He is an ineffective speaker. How is he going to help LSU?

The schools in the SEC also receive a lot of money from the federal government for research and other shite. They are not going to want piss off one of the few people in the country who have influence over that.
