Elko could stand to lose a few pounds but he’s kind of built like an NFL lineman. That fat boy can move if he wants. Seen him sprint down the sideline
Again I’ll point out that he isn’t just fat(way fatter than you are claiming though) He is incredibly unhealthy looking too. I have never met a 48 year old that looked 68. Have you? How long did they live after 48 if you did?

I’ll just add that Heupel is respected because he was a big time player and he’s a likeable/ good guy.
I can’t imagine Mangino being respected

Krampus that’s a fair point. The best point anyone has made actually. I do think it’s different in the NFL though because players have to be pretty self disciplined to make it.

We get it. A fatty fricked your wife and you have never gotten over it.

LSU can't compete financially with a Texas school

’m about to piss off a bunch of TAMU fans but Elko feels like a Chizik like coach to me. Seems like he caught lightning in a bottle and frankly I don’t think he’s capable of holding onto it. 2-3 losses by the end of the post season.
lol. what you don't know abiut Elko is a LOT!!!!!!

Elko is legit AF.

He had Duke competing for ACC championships and was an elite coordinator at A&M before that.
He’s underrated if anything IMO.

Agreed.
Look at what he does with QBs.
He takes project mobile guys and puts them in offensive situations that allow them to thrive.
I’m convinced watching Reed that if he were playing for certain SEC schools he’d be talked about like Jackson Arnold.
But at A&M under Elko he looks like an all conference QB.
Just like the NFL, coaches and systems help make or break QBs.

Yup. And I saw their demeanor on the field. His players looked like they would run through a brick wall for him. He is a motivator of young men.
Kelly? They wouldn’t run through toilet tissue for him. And I am not joking. It is clear that he is despised. Can only imagine what the football complex was like with him in charge. Toxic.

Are you never going to answer the question? The answer is Fat Phil. It hasn’t happened since 1998.
Well, it’s a good thing Elko is doing things at A&M that haven’t been done since the 90s, isn’t it?

I’ve got a terminal case of BAS so I’m still working out how we can go 8-4 this season, but I have to disagree with your statement. Elko doesn’t have a generational player. We all love Reed and his leadership, but he’s no Cam, Burrow, manziel, ect. He’s not a generational talent a mediocre coach is hiding behind. The team has done well thus far because Elko isn’t relying on one player to take the team on his shoulders all season. They just play complementary and are deep with good enough players who are well conditioned to stay fresh all game. Hes winning with good coaching and preparation. There are no real standouts who are game breakers on this squad

Lots of unhealthy people can sing well. What a retarded analogy.

You see that singing has nothing to do with weight, yet you still correlate coaching and weight. You don’t seem to grasp that singing or coaching is a skill that has nothing to do with weight. You don’t strike me as Einstein material. You seem more like a Bubba
Sam Pittman wasn’t a championship head coach, but Bret Bielema is. In addition, Mark Mangino, Bill Parcels and John Madden would fit your expectations. Because you can’t come up with one is more a reflection on you than the childish question you pose. Fat shame all you want, but it has nothing to do with somebodies ability to coach, but I’m sure you will change the scope or ask another idiotic question. Now, you would likely have a problem being coached by an overweight individual, but that is an entirely different problem than you are presenting.
Let’s have some fun at your expense: who are the greatest coaches that smoked, who are the greatest coaches that drove vans, and who are the greatest coaches that had a higher IQ than jryanw? All are irrelevant just like the question you presented.

I warned the Arkie fans that Pittman wasn’t that good and was catching lightning in a bottle 3 seasons ago and everyone on the rant laughed. The same thing is happening now with Elko. The truth is TAMU hasn’t really played anyone yet. You guys have had an incredibly lucky schedule where you have avoided the other top 5 teams in the SEC this season.
No UGA, Bama, Ole Miss, Tenn, or even Vandy. Your best win is a 2 point win over an overrated ND the first game of the season. If you make it through the rest of the season unscathed you will lose in the SEC championship and you’ll lose the first playoff game you play(likely in the 2nd round)
I’m not addressing the singing vs coaching again. You’re obviously as dense as the dude that made the comparison because they don’t correlate at all.

He spent most his working life there. Likely he has deep friend and family ties there. Would not be shocking
