Our defense was badass too. Just had to get healthy and pissed off before they started to kick arse. This team is one of the top of all time. Doesn't matter what people on here say bc they're biased and hate LSU. Plenty of non biased figures that are well respected in the sport have said the same that LSU fans know about this team. They're dominant and have to be in the convo as being one of the best ever with whichever other few teams you want to compare them with...doesn't matter. This team holds it's own against any of them and has as strong of a case as any of them. It's just that simple. Look at the schedule, records broken, stats, etc and it's very obvious. There is no debate to be had. This team was one of the absolute best of all time and had as good of a case as anyone to be considered the best of all time. End of discussion.

Oh,puleeze. So let’s compare 12 games to 12 games, 13 games to 13 games. Same result.

I sense a troll coming out of this somehow, but it won't matter. This was the bizarro world season of our dreams. It probably can't be sustained, and we'll look back years from now and wonder how the hell it happened.

Know what’s interesting?

2013 FSU had 84 offensive TDs on the season (42 rushing/42 passing) with 21 FGs made. Made all XPs. They had 94 total TDs (5 defensive/5 returns).

2019 LSU had 93 offensive TDs (61 passing/32 rushing) also with 21 FGs made. Missed 4 XPs and one failed 2 pt conv. But the difference is only two non-offensive TDs (both returns).

Sooo ACTUAL OFFENSIVE PPG:
2013 FSU - 651 points / 14 games = 46.5
2019 LSU - 710 points / 15 games = 47.3

Can’t dispute that!

Edit: LSU also played a much more difficult schedule.

Maybe, but 2005 USC offense was a juggernaut. Averaged 49 ppg with starters out early almost every week.

Also don't forget 1995 Nebraska.

Use common sense playboy. Your offense has to get you in position to kick a field goal which is part of offensive point per game. You can't just do touchdown for points and not include 3 points that add to the scoreboard which in turn leads to points.

Bottom line 51.7 is always greater than 48.4 no matter how you shake it. Fsu had a better offense.

You can dispute that for days but when look up best offenses of all time the 51.7 will come befor 48.4.

In other words you grasping at straws. End of story.

Oh, let us enjoy this! I mean, you know what LSU's offense has been for the past decade...

This "forward pass" thing is pretty cool.

95 Nebraska stats:

77 total TD HOWEVER

69 OFFENSIVE TD, 13 FG, missed 3 XP, 2/4 2 pt conv.

482 points / 12 games = 40.2 ppg

Next!

Hey PLAYBOY, I included FGs, XPs, and 2 pt conv! Thanks for playing. LSU > FSU.
