What's your assessment of Kirby & his staff's development of offensive skill position players?
Posted on 12/26/25 at 7:34 pm to Chris ALL Capps
Pretty good:
2026 Pro Bowlers: James Cook, Brock Bowers, George Pickens
Top 100 players in NFL post 2024 season selected by NFL players:
Ladd McConkey made the list in his first year.
We have tight ends all over the NFL right now because even if they aren't offensive receiving weapons, they block their butt off.
Charlie Woerner been in the league for years now.
John Fitzpatrick still gets significant snaps and has been on a roster every year since he was drafted in the sixth round in the 2023 draft. Not common for that late of a pick.
Darnell may be the best blocking TE in the league and Rodgers has made him a receiving weapon at times.

Doesn’t everyone need to develop in everything they do, including coaches and regular students? People make a big deal out of this shite because they just don’t like NIL and the portal because it interferes with their ability to jerk off over the perception that Tommy Touchdown really cares about State U.
Some players will lose their head over money, just like countless young actors, athletes, and musicians have for decades. Some players will be smart and disciplined and thrive. In any case, college football players have joined the fraternity of highly paid entertainers - and it was a long time coming. Get over it.

He's not saying they shouldn't portal, boss. They'll still have that opportunity after the bowls.
He's saying why not take the opportunity to practice now and get better and then do it.

I’m talking about fans posting this shite. It’s motivated by a dislike for NIL and the portal.

Like him or not he’s spot on.
Kirby’s taken some lumps during his first years at Georgia. But he’s ironed them out and is running a solid program. And as someone said he’s doing at Georgia what Spurrier did at Florida.

His quote the other day about scheduling teams that his players transferred to because they’re soft was awesome

I don't care for Georgia, at all, but I have to admit that Smart's end zone speech to his team this year was the best I've heard from a head coach in quite a bit.

Do you see that end zone? An end zone represents life and happiness. I want you to imagine yourself living in that end zone and raising a family, being a man, taking care of your responsibilities, and achieving your dreams right there in that end zone.
The end zones, no matter where we play or who we play, belong to the University of Georgia and to you. It's yours if you want it. It doesn't need you but, you need it. I want you to think of life as an end zone and beat the shite out that end zone at every opportunity.
Make that end zone yours.

He just copies Saban and looks like Moe from the three stooges with that haircut.
Yawn.
Yawn.

Kirby hasn’t had a football thought that Nick didn’t shove up his arse.

Just speaking for me, I’m just enjoying and feeling grateful that we have Kirby at UGA. He has his flaws just like any other human being. He’s not perfect. He makes his own mistakes like anyone else. But he’s probably the best head coach out there at this moment.
That stated, I think most college footballs fans respect what he’s doing at UGA. But they don’t need me to remind them. And I don’t have the want or need to remind them.
But that’s just me. No better, no worse.

So Kirby is begging his players to stay and then take to social media to let everyone know they are staying.

I think youve spent too much time overthinking this. You have no idea what fanbases think as a collective group other than not liking their rivals. I can tell you what you say about Bama fans isn't even remotely true as a collective group.

Serious question, who hates Kirby?
Hate is a strong word but I lost a lot of respect for him when he lied about not calling the timeout in the Auburn game and then doubled down on the lie when called out. I guess I never realized how busy league he was before then.

Yes, and just about every other head coach too.
