True, but they can say that makes Ben ineligible. If not, then agents will just hire family members for the "wink wink pledge to use them when your turn pro" and funnel money to the player that way.
Think about it for football where players have to stay for 3 years. High profile players family members being hired by agents. What is an agent is also a booster of a school?
Think about the winding road your going down here...the NCAA cannot just start making every player who has a family member working at or for a sports agent ineligible.

Does the Loss to SC still count?

They look at a lot of different things when making that call. If she's getting paid 350K a year to run a twitter account then that's a different situation than her making 35K and doing legitimate work. Athlete's parents find jobs in the city their kid attends college in all the time, the NCAA doesn't bat an eye unless they are severely under qualified or are being paid to do nothing.

Get logic and context out of here

Last time I checked, UK is playing in the NCAA and LSU is shitting all over themselves and not playing in the NIT (let's be honest, they probably would not been chosen to play). What some of you don't understand, it is all about when a team is peaking and improving towards March. Johnny let the freshman dictate how it was going down and lost the team. Way too much chemistry issues.
It's ok to admit Simmons may had been the cancer in the locker room, but you won't.

Why do you care about LSU so much?

Well damn. Hope it doesn't stop LSU and Simmons from playing in the big dance.

Actually, I did in this thread.
LSU falling flat on its face only amplifies the mystery of how they beat Kentucky by 18 points.
But thanks for the college basketball lecture, Kentucky fan.

Saying nothing is still saying something.

Even meeting with an agent is prohibited. This would be probation city.
This is untrue. Players can meet with agents any time they want without any fear of losing their eligibility. They just can't sign with or accept anything of value from them. IIRC, Bama/Saban actually help facilitate some of these meetings. I'm sure other programs do too.
The NFL used to have a rule on their side that barred agents from meeting with a college player until they were seniors but they eliminated it several years ago.

Understand that but this case isn't that. She got that job soley because of Ben and the fact that he would use them as his agent. I would bet she was over paid for her qualifications.
That is a lot different than a family member finding work in the town their child goes to school at so they can be close.
Surely you can see the difference.

Without Simmons LSU is a 5-28 team ....Wish he wouldn't have come and JJ would be fired by now.
Of course with our sucky AD Joe Alleva. JJ would still get another year.

I find it hard to believe that Kentucky didn't take the 1986 Elite 8 seriously.
