All the SEC had to do was LEAVE DSOR on the rotation it had BEFORE expansion & Aub. would never have complained about playing Ala. & UGA either at home or on the road in the same season!
THAT was the cause for your whining!

The game isn't moving. Ultimately Jax will do whatever it needs to do to keep the game and I think the majority of both fanbases want the game to stay in Jax anyways. I think it's just a vocal minority of UGA fans that think it's an unfair location even though the ticket split is always pretty much exactly right down the middle

I grew up in S. Ga. too & had MORE people wanting it played H/H.

They were because of the whining about playing Ala. & UGA both at home or on the road in the same season.
In fairness, had the SEC NOT interfered with the rotation during expansion, that issue NEVER would have happened because Aub. hosted the schools in alternating years.

Actually, Aub. whined about now having Ala. & UGA both at home every other year. Had the SEC NOT changed the rotation at expansion, this would be a non-issue.

& y'all could have told the SEC "DSOR is NOT changing its rotation schedule!"

"Worst case, do a home-neutral-home scenario. Athens - Jax- Gainesville rotation."
Why not an Atl. - Athens - Jax. - Gainesville rotation?

We also play the GnaTs on the road in odd years (matching the Swamp Rats).

Already covered in a previous response... Just was referring to SEC scheduling and why AU poster was incorrect as to it being self inflicted.

No. It's wholly unnecessary. If the game isn't in Jax, on campus or bust.

so instead of staggering the location we went and changed the date?

I've never heard one Florida fan say they want the game moved. The only reason it's an issue now is because of kirby. He thinks he's the next Saban.
You’re skeered.

Brilliant rebuttal. Scholarly, and well thought out.

one of the good things about the WLOCP is that you dont see alot of the abusive/obnoxious behavior you see at on campus venues with visiting fans... despite all the BS you hear about brawls and beatings in Jax.We've been sharing a tailgate
lot for over 25 years with Gators and we always have a great time.Gators and Dawg fans have somewhat of a mutual respect for each other.
Auburn is a completely different deal especially since we've been dominating the series recently and the Nick Fairly bullshite.UGA fans and especially the younger ones absolutely detest them and what little respect the older fans had for them is a thing of the past.

Since when is being ahead 51-43-2 in the all time series for UGA "owning the series historically"? So, yall have played UF almost 100 times and UGA holds an 8 game lead. That's hardly "owning" anything. Hell, UF is 21-8 since 1990. I'm not a fan of either team obviously, but the way you phrased it in the OP makes it seem like UGA has won twice as many games as UF has. It's a great series and rivalry, and one of the games that I make sure I watch every season.
LSU has historically dominated the series vs UGA btw...we hold a 17-13-1 all time record. Lol.

They say the same thing about the Auburn series. It's 59-56-8 in their favor.
ETA The problem with UGA fans is they are smug pricks who think everybody is beneath them. That's a them problem but it is comical as hell to behold.

You're another Floridiot tit-brain just out of diapers...SPURRIER IS QUOTED HIMSELF AS SAYING BEFORE 1990, GAYTURD FANS WANTED TO MOVE THE GAME!!
Throughout the 1970's and '80's, Gayturds EVERYWHERE wanted the game moved then.
Did you even READ the article, or this a serious handicap not within your abilities?
I'd reply, but I can barely understand the question. Don't need to read any article; as I said, I've lived by whole life between Lawrenceville and Miami, including over a decade in Gainesville.
I never heard that from Gator fans in either place, and again, not from many Dawgs, either. Hell, Gator fans WANT AND HAVE ALWAYS WANTED THE GAME IN JAX.
It wasn't until UF started dominating the series that talk of moving it started up, and it damn sure wasn't Gator fans doing the crying... we were ecstatic.
Do I think the OBC said stuff like that? Sure, he'd say things like that whenever it suited his purpose at the time; and even more often say things just to screw with the interviewer if he thought he/she was particularly obtuse and asking inane questions.
My old man took classes and played pickup bball with the man; he's always had a sharp tongue. I know for a fact if there was any dissension in the Bull Gator ranks about keeping the game in Jax, it must have come from a small, and not very vocal, minority... obviously, since the WLOCP is, in fact, still in Jax.
