I don't believe Mustain likes Gus that much.

He doesn’t. He didn’t even want to go to Arkansas until they lied and promised Malzahn would be a WR coach and not his QB coach/OC

"Plus, Gus was never interested."

Ouch.

He is 11-22 in the SEC.

So a huge improvement over the last guy.

I think he's out at the end of the season especially when Missouri beats the breaks off him.

We won’t pull the trigger. Just watch. Dinkywitz shits the bed against Pitt this year and we are stuck with him

You can pretty much take what Mike Irwin says and bank on the opposite

Pittman will get to finish the season (barring a loss to FIU), but he's 100% done.

I like the guy, but he just wasn't cut out for this job. He pulled Arkansas up out of the Morris depths and needs to be gone before we're right back there, and we're knocking on the door right now

He wanted to go to Arkansas but Nutt fired the QB coach that he liked.

So he decommitted and Arkansas was in a rush to get him back on board.

I could be wrong but I remembered Frank Broyles telling Nutt to go hire Malzahn.

Mustain and the rest of the Springdale players got on board.

But it turned into a disaster and Mustain and the rest of the Springdale players should have went to a place that had no drama.

That isn't saying much and that would put him on the level of Bert.

So Arkansas graduated from horrible to the suck.

What is Arkansas’ expectation out of their coach? What is success for you? What does the next coach have to do to not get fired in 2-4 years?

Win 7 or more a year. That’s it. Literally

8-4 yearly average. Go bowling each year.

Arkansas each year recruits in the 25-30 range.

However how they play on the field doesn't match what they recruit off the field.

As an example they lost to Liberty at home.

A few weeks before Arkansas needed a fourth quarter rally to beat Missouri State to avoid going 5-7.

A few years before Arkansas lost to Colorado State, San Jose State, North Texas and Western Kentucky. None of those teams that I have mentioned have SEC talent but Arkansas still lost to them.

So if a coach is willing to succeed have here then those games are more important to win as Arkansas historically has collapses from those losses.

BYU is better than those teams but they are worse than Vandy in talent. Arkansas blew a 14 and 10 point leads in the game do to poor coaching.

Once again that very winnable game led to another downward spiral for Arkansas in another wasted season.
