The tipping point in the prediction is the defense. I think Mizzous offense has an easier time moving the ball for most of the game. Hopefully there is some cushion goin into the 4th quarter.

I think our defense matches up well to their offense. And I think we'll get enough done when we have the ball.

I think it might be the best game of the weekend... IF Franklin (from my home town) plays, it will be close.

It really boils down to the mizzou D, and if they can stop lattimore. I don't have a dog in the hunt so to speak, but I'd like to see us or Mizzou win a few games this year.

I guess I'll pull for mizzou since they are the underdog.

I think if we can get some turnovers to give Berkstresser or Franklin a short field even one or two times, we may have a chance. I think it will come down to a few big plays either way.

As far as us moving the ball against thier defense, I wouldn't be so confident. After the blueprint on how to beat us over the last two weeks, whoever is QB for Mizzou will get a sufficient amount of pressure from Clowney and linebackers on blitzes. You can count on that. They'd be fools not to blitz the hell out of us. What needs to happen is Yost getting this offense started and finding ways to include DGB in the offense.

One or two things comes to mind for Yost to try. More playaction passing. Less spread option. More designed rollouts. More deep slants and deep outs. Something to open the middle of the field. In other words, show up with something different than you've been running. Hell even try some I-formation running and passing plays. You have to mix it up.

jafo. agree, it may come down to a big play(s) with a turnover or special teams.

i don't think anyone needed a blueprint or 2-3 weeks to figure out how to beat us... i think everyone knew we would be an easy team to rush bc of the o-line injuries before the season, but yeah, its become obvious at this point.

i found it interesting that when kelly rolled out last night we couldn't stop them.

that big fella was useless. seems our d is a lot more effective when the qb doesn't move around.. if they got a qb that can roll around and create time, that is a way to beat us too.

hopefully gooden is back to stop lattimore. that will be a big key for us. if he really pulled the hami that might not be likely though.

QB's like Kelly drive me nut's. They shifty and fast and when they're accurate throwers, it makes a bad situation worse.

I actually thought other than Jarvis getting in on Franklin, our line did pretty good pass blocking against Georgia. Georgia didn't seem to blitz to much. ASU on the other hand did.

Lets look at the difference in those two games that I can see. Georgia had two deep balls completed against them. Provided Franklin played in that game, but against ASU we really had no deep balls completed, mostly short yardage stuff via all the blitzes against us. Mizzou allowed ASU to stack the line of scrimmage. Without even trying to stretch the field, especially down the middle, we couldn't open the middle and it freed thier linebackers to blitz right up the gut.

You have to figure in that Berkstresser was green. Franklin might have seen some things that Berk didn't. But give ASU credit. They called a good D against us.

I just pray for some turnovers in our favor against USCe this week.

Hamstring injuries can be a pain to recover from. It depends on how sever it is. I think it's the largest muscle in the body, and I think takes alittle longer to heal.

But I'm optomistic he'll be back. Like you said we need him bad.

Have you seen the CBS commercials for this game? They show it every third or fourth commercial it seems.

I think it's pretty cool. I'd post it here but can't find a link.

You can definitely see the difference between SEC game commercials and others.

Man, everything about this conference is better.

Except the refs. Watch out- You will be mad after the game because we will probably get some calls going our way. But remember it isn't our fault, no one likes the SEC refs. Just don't say things like they won it for us, or they cost y'all the game.

Your right. Watching these few games so far. They have called some crazy arse shite and the worst is the no calls. Thier defenition of pass interference is alittle different in this conference. They are alittle looser with thier calls, but it goes both ways.... so far.

Get used to it...we've always been like this. Sometimes it's warranted, sometimes it's just blind optimism.

I do like the fact that some of the o-line is back in order, that and the defense. Plus, I know the offense is gonna go full blast in one of these big games.
