You ever look up his stats (this year and career)?
They are mind-blowing good. He is either tops or near the top in every statistical category used to rate CBs.
Just like in life, perfection beats even the best, meaning the opposing QBs have to pretty-much place perfect passes to beat him.
That’s why he he’ll get beat some against really great college QBs and why even the best CBs in the pros get beat - because they face the best QBs in the country.

Surtain had a chance against him last year and bitched out. Saban and Co left Diggs on Chase and Chase beat him like a drum. Surtain would have gotten abused also, career move to keep him away from Chase.

Wasn't Bama up by like 28 at the half? Bama wasn't throwing much in the 2nd half.
Did they practice with Stingley prepared to cover Smitty and then they didn't in the game? If so, why didn't Ed O force the change after Smitty topped 100, or 150? If they didn't practice with Stingley prepared to guard Smith, then why didn't O change that during the week?
LSU fans always have an excuse. Why not just acknowledge that while Stingley is very good, he's not good at covering Smith just as your beloved PP7 was never good (even in the NFL) at covering Julio.
