My only assumptions are that CEO will get a raise in the off-season and he is at his dream job. Which of these are untrue in your opinion?

I do think LSU will have some issues here. The strategy has been to pay the assistants as much as they can, and including the assistants, the total number gets firmly into this range. But how does it work for an arse broke school to pay O $9MM plus the highest paid assistants. This may accelerate the currently peripheral conversation about the football program's link to the university. Scott Woodward has already began publicly discussing the concept of football subsidizing the school.

If he finishes the season winning then he will get his due raise. We would part ways with Aranda before we let O go. We will have the money regardless, but I get the feeling that O will always give LSU a hometown discount.

That's base salary. Coach O is racking up that bonus money this season.

Perhaps that's the way about half of those yahoos need to have their contracts structured. Performance based.

As for Nicky, he might want to surrender a little of that salary for a better ST/FG coach.
