For those of you who listened to the show during its hey-day in the late-90s, she was an absolute force of rabid Bama fandom. Her rants and shouting matches with other callers such as B.O.B and I-Man were absolutely hilarious.

I remember hearing her. Wasn't there an Auburn fan (Pat?) who was killed in a car accident?

Sad to lose both of them

Just the 90's?

I never had even heard of the show until the 2000's.

Her defense of Mike Shula was "Legend"ary. No pun intended.

I don't listen to that show regularly, but I never saw her calls popping up on YouTube, Twitter, etc. for a few years now.

Was she in poor health the last few years?

Shane from Centerpoint vs Bobby from Homewood

BOB (bring on Bama) vs Phyllis was great radio

For as much hate as current day Finebaum catches - it was damn entertaining during the AM radio days. Finebaum and Neal Vickers were a good duo.

Listen to the show rarely these days. Last time I remember hearing her was when Tammy died.

Remember the old days of Finebaum on WERC radio. Him and his sidekick, Bob Lockamy but he also had Pat Smith. That show made Jerry Springer look like a church. It was a message board before such things. Phyllis, I-man, Tammy, Darrell, Jim would just all engage in shouting matches.

I-Man is and has always been a wanna-be hack. His schtick was trying to copy the other outrageous callers but was never funny, interesting or entertaining to anyone but himself.

The best Finebaum show of all time was when Phyllis said she dated the guy who wrote “Bear of Alabama” (a truly cringey song), so Paul got them on the phone together.

It turns out he was married when Phyllis said they dated.

It was a great episode from when the PF show was at its peak.

Finebaum and Neal Vickers

Wow, that brings back some memories.

I think Neal was a former Air Force combat photographer.

Listening to his voice, I always wondered how many darts he managed to fog down during commercial breaks.
